The invention relates to a method for supporting a handover of a mobile stationfrom a first radio access unitof a wireless communication networkto a second radio access unitof a wireless communication network. In order to improve a context transfer in the case of a handover of the mobile station, the mobile stationtransmits information about its activity state to the second radio access unitwhen it is to be handed over to the second radio access unit. The invention relates equally to such a mobile station, to such a second radio access unit, to a wireless communication system comprising such a mobile station and such a second radio access unit, and to a software code causing the transfer of information at the mobile station.

Handover of a mobile station

A method and system handles at least one connection to at least one terminal in an access network. The access network includes a radio interface and at least one router. A link layer address is assigned to the at least one terminal, and a cell-specific radio link identifier is used at the radio interface for identifying a radio link to the router. An identifier for identifying the terminal or terminals preferably includes an RLI field for identifying the radio link, and a LLA Mapping field for identifying the terminal.

In-band set-up and configuration of transfer-related resources

The invention relates to an OFDM-transmitter, comprising means for transforming () data to be transmitted in frequency-to-time transformation to a basic waveform containing waveform components representing subbands of the spectrum of the signal. Processing of an OFDM signal

The present invention relates to a method and network element for classification of bit strings such as data packets on a per-flow basis, wherein a plurality of classification fields are searched for in respective search trees based on a matching procedure in which an index value is obtained in a leaf node of a search tree for each classification field. Index values obtained in said searching step are used to derive a policy to be applied to said data packet, wherein the number of index values is reduced by combining intermediate results of the searching step or the deriving step. Thereby, computational efficiency can be improved and memory requirements reduced.

Method and system for classifying binary strings

A method and apparatus for initiating compression of IP headers of a stream of packets to be sent from a source apparatus to a destination apparatus. IP header compression is initiated by changing the destination address of the IP header of a full header packet to identify the address of a node, such as a router, which serves as an interface to the destination apparatus, and passing the context identifier (CID) and generation fields in a routing header which immediately follows or is inserted to immediately follow the IP header.
