A system for facilitating the mounting of circuit boards within an enclosure. The system includes one or more standoffs that are each received through appropriately formed corresponding openings through a printed circuit board. A flexible clip is attached to the printed circuit board proximate each opening. Each clip includes a retainer portion designed to receive the head of the standoff. Thus, the printed circuit board may be attached to the standoffs simply by placing the circuit board openings over the standoffs and moving the printed circuit board laterally until the clips and standoffs are engaged.

Mounting system for circuit board

A modular computer chassis for both rack mounting and free standing use comprising a housing adapted for receipt of a plurality of computer modules in a secured array. The modules are selectively accessible only through a cover panel door which may be locked to secure the integrity of the array. The modules are mounted in the chassis on individual slides which afford alignment and stability in the assembly thereof. Additionally, the modularity affords interchangeability with rack-mounted systems for maximizing the efficiency of operation and the effectiveness of installation and service. Problems within the system can thus be addressed by removing and replacing individual modules in a configuration which affords reliability and easy access.

Modular computer chassis interchangeable between stand alone and rack

A cooling member for an integrated circuit, the member having a recess therein for receiving the integrated circuit and contacting a portion of exterior surfaces of the integrated circuit and a portion of metal leads extending from the integrated circuit; in one aspect, such a member with a plurality of such recesses for accommodating a plurality of such integrated circuits; and in one aspect, such a system including a metal heat sink.
