An apparatus has a hub including a water inlet for receiving source water, a water outlet for discharging ozonated water, and an interface between the water inlet and the water outlet. The apparatus also has a cartridge including an electrolytic cell for ozonating the source water. The electrolytic cell has a cathode, an anode comprising diamond, and a membrane between the cathode and the anode. The electrolytic cell is configured to flow source water through both the cathode and the anode. The cartridge further includes at least one cartridge port for removably coupling with the interface on the hub. The at least one cartridge port and the interface are configured to flow source water from the hub into the electrolytic cell and to flow ozonated water from the electrolytic cell into the hub.

Hub and removable cartridge for producing and delivering ozonated water

An apparatus has a tank with an interior for containing water, a nozzle for directing ozonated water out of the spray apparatus, and an electrolytic cell located between the nozzle and the tank. The electrolytic cell is configured to ozonate water as the water flows from the tank to the nozzle. The apparatus also includes a power source for providing electric potential to the electrolytic cell. The tank, nozzle, and electrolytic cell all are part of a single spray bottle or dispenser (e.g., like a soap dispenser).

Apparatus for producing and delivering ozonated water

An electrolytic cell includes at least one free-standing diamond electrode and a second electrode, which may also be a free-standing diamond, separated by a membrane. The electrolytic cell is capable of conducting sustained current flows at current densities of at least about 1 ampere per square centimeter. A method of operating an electrolytic cell having two diamond electrodes includes alternately reversing the polarity of the voltage across the electrodes.

Electrolytic cell for ozone production

A method and system for effecting an appearance model correction for a display unit, e.g., a CRT, using a polynomial-based algorithm is described. The correction may be effected in real time and is based on gamma values associated with the display. Strong correlations with the CIECAM02 specification are achieved according to the present disclosure. The correction functionality may be implemented using a colorimeter that includes a plurality of sensors/filter systems with non overlappng spectral responses, adequate for providing data capable of translation into standard coordinates system such as, CIE XYZ, CIE L*a*b*, or CIE Luv, as well as non-standard operable coordinate systems. The field of view of the colorimeter is chosen to closely track the response of the human eye using an optical path configured to select and limit the field of view in a manner that is insensitive to placement of the colorimeter on the source image. The optical path from the source image to the sensor is configured to select preferred light rays while rejecting undesirable light rays to maximize the signal/noise ratio. A rearward facing sensor channel is included to simultaneously measure ambient light impinging on the source image and feedback means to provide status and/or change of information.

System and method for applying correction factors related to ambient conditions

A colorimeter method and apparatus is described. The colorimeter includes a plurality of sensors/filter systems with non overlapping spectral responses, adequate for providing data capable of translation into standard coordinates system such as, CIE XYZ, CIE L*a*b*, or CIE Luv, as well as non-standard operable coordinate systems. The field of view of the colorimeter is chosen to closely track the response of the human eye using an optical path configured to select and limit the field of view in a manner that is insensitive to placement of the colorimeter on the source image. The optical path from the source image to the sensor is configured to select preferred light rays while rejecting undesirable light rays to maximize the signal/noise ratio. Color sensing apparatus

A colorimeter that uses its flexible power/electronic cable as a mounting mechanism is disclosed. The colorimeter can be placed against a target screen, suspended by the cable, where the cable in turn drapes over the top of the display cabinet. A slidable weight can be coupled to the cable to hold a selected position. Alternatively, a slotted suction cup can be used to hold the selected position. A leaf spring can be installed to provide a slight bias force to the backside of the colorimeter, thereby ensuring the colorimeter lays flush to the target screen in the presence of disruptive conditions and anomalies. The colorimeter can further be configured with a low impact suction cup array mount. The colorimeter assembly can be configured with an FOV that corresponds to that of a human, and with self-aligning optical qualities that provide a colorimeter with high SNR.

A colorimeter device and fabrication techniques are disclosed. The assembly and configuration of the device operates to maximize signal-to-noise ratio, as well as to provide an optimal field of view (e.g., such as an FOV that simulates that of the human eye). Geometric elements and features of the design, in conjunction with the assembly procedure, assure precise alignment of optical elements including sensors, filters, and other elements within the enclosure and optical path.

Colorimeter with high SNR

A sensor mounting system having a suction cup array is disclosed. In one application, the system eases the initial positioning of the calorimeter on the screen to be measured, minimizes the force applied to the screen upon which it is mounted, and minimizes the distortion in the mounted area of the screen surface. In addition, the mounting system can be configured so that the distance from the colorimeter sensor to the screen will not significantly change over time. Such positional stability operates to improve SNR. The mounting system is further adapted for ease of removal from the screen upon which it is mounted. Applications not only include a mount for low to high accuracy calorimeters, but also for other measurement devices that can benefit from advantages of the present invention. Injection molding manufacturing techniques can be employed in fabrication of the system.

Sensor with suction cup array mount

A cable, adapter, or converter device is disclosed that enables a peripheral device (e.g., external display) normally connected only through a non-USB port to communicate with a host computer via a USB port in addition to its non-USB port. DDC-formatted signals from the peripheral device are converted to the appropriate format for input through the USB port, and signals transmitted to the peripheral device from the USB port are converted to the format recognizable by the external peripheral, allowing access to peripheral features via the host system.

A simple, low cost x-ray scanner providing enhanced resolution is formed by providing a straight-line optical path from an illuminating source, through the x-ray image to be scanned and thence to an imaging lens which forms an image on a CCD array. The x-ray film is fed by means of gravity to a pair of rollers, immediately above which are formed first and second apertures on either side of the roller. The film is eliminated through the apertures which provide a field stop for the optical system. A shutter immediately adjacent one of the apertures is coupled to a width-adjustment mechanism actuated by a feed guide for the film to thereby adjust the width of the aperture to the width of the film. The output of the CCD is modified to expand the output at low levels and compress it at high levels via a logarithmic mapping to adapt the high resolution CCD output to a lower resolution video display processor.

Straight-line optical path x-ray scanner which automatically adjusts

A colorimeter for measuring transmitted, reflected, emitted and incident light comprises a pod that is demountably attached to a base and that contains a color-responsive detector and associated processing electronics. The detector mates with one of several detachable heads that are selectable to establish precise measuring conditions for the various measurements to be made. The colorimeter enables common and consistent calibration across all elements of the pre-press industry, from checking color proofs or color transparencies, to calibrating video color monitors.

Colorimeter

An ink jet priming system for an ink jet printer having a reservoir containing ink for ink jets connected thereto and a reservoir opening for receiving ink is described. The ink jet priming system is provided with a seal for selectively closing the reservoir opening. Pressurized air is supplied to the reservoir from a tank connected thereto through an opening in the seal. The flow of air to the reservoir is controlled so that there is an initial low pressure air flow to force ink into the jets followed by a high pressure flow to force the discharge of the streaming discharge of the ink. A gutter assembly, connected to a disposable waste container is provided for receiving and collecting the ink discharged during the priming process. The ink jet priming system can be used with a moving print head that contains two or more separate reservoirs each with a separate reservoir opening. When used with a moving print head-multiple reservoir printer, the priming system is provided with a capture assembly for positioning the print head so a single system can be used to seal and prime all the reservoirs.

Ink jet priming system

A rotary ink jet printer can print at high speed in black and white as well as in color using hot-melt inks. The printer includes a rotary print wheel which supports a plurality of ink jetters distributed around its periphery. The jetters are divided into color groups with the jetters in each group drawing ink from a separate chamber of an ink reservoir with the different chambers containing different-colored inks. Each jetter can be aimed separately from all of the other jetters in the print wheel in a direction parallel to the rotary axis of the wheel as well as in a direction perpendicular thereto and tangent to the print wheel, enabling the jetters in the different groups during each revolution of the print wheel to print in a plurality of colors on a plurality of different lines of a recording medium advancing as a cylinder past the periphery of the print head. A mechanism for automatically aiming the jetters on the print wheel is also disclosed.
