A tool for use in a wellbore includes an annular body having an inner flow passage extending axially therethrough, at least one gripping member positioned around an outer perimeter of a retainer section of the annular body, and a gate member positioned in the inner flow passage. When the gate member is in a closed configuration, an upstream portion of the inner flow passage is sealed from a downstream portion of the inner flow passage by the gate member. When the gate member is in an open configuration, the upstream portion of the inner flow passage is fluidly connected to the downstream portion of the inner flow passage. At least one static mixing blade extends through the downstream portion of the inner flow passage to mix fluid when it flows through the open gate member.

Method and apparatus for downhole in-situ mixing using dual, concentric flow channels

A wellbore assembly includes a wellbore string disposed within a wellbore and a cement retainer coupled to a downhole end of the wellbore string. The cement retainer includes a housing, a packer, a valve, and a sleeve. The housing includes one or more fluid ports extending from an interior surface of the housing to the annulus. The housing defines a first fluid pathway extending from within the wellbore string to within the housing. The sleeve is movable between a first position, in which the sleeve blocks the one or more fluid ports, and a second position in which the sleeve exposes the one or more fluid ports to open a second fluid pathway extending from the annulus, through the one or more fluid ports, to the first fluid pathway. Opening the second fluid pathway allows mixing of a first fluid with a second fluid in the cement retainer.

Downhole mixing of wellbore treatment fluids

An apparatus for flowing and mixing cement within a subterranean formation includes a housing, a flow control device, and baffles. The housing is configured to contain a cement additive. The housing includes a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to couple to a cement retainer. The flow control device is disposed at the second end of the housing. The baffles are disposed within the housing.

A wellbore whipstock tool assembly includes a body that includes an uphole axial surface that is slanted from one portion of an edge of the uphole axial surface to another portion of the edge of the uphole axial surface, a downhole axial surface opposite the uphole axial surface, and a radial surface between the uphole axial surface and the downhole axial surface; one or more keys formed on the radial surface and configured to secure into one or more keyholes formed in a casing of a wellbore; and a bore that extends between an opening in the uphole axial surface and an opening in the downhole axial surface, the bore sized to receive a bottom hole assembly of an intervention tool.

Accessing lateral wellbores in a multilateral well

A method of performing an intervention operation at a multilateral well includes deploying a directional guide to an axial position within the multilateral well at which a lateral section of the multilateral well is located. The method further includes installing a main body of the directional guide to an inner surface profile arranged along a casing that surrounds the directional guide at the axial position. The method further includes closing a bore that passes through the main body along an elongate axis of the main body. The method further includes deflecting an intervention assembly along a guide surface of the main body into the lateral section. The method further includes controlling the intervention assembly to perform the intervention operation within the lateral section.

Multilateral well access systems and related methods of performing wellbore interventions

A multilateral well access system includes a directional guide and a mating surface profile. The directional guide includes a main body and an outer surface profile disposed on the main body. The main body defines a guide surface oriented non-parallelly to an elongate axis of the main body and a bore passing through the main body along the elongate axis. The mating surface profile is formed complementary to the outer surface profile of the directional guide and is engaged with the outer surface profile to secure the directional guide in a fixed position.
