A cable terminator connector includes a screw and base having a first opening and a second opening. The first and second openings are configured to receive first and second cable portions wherein the screw is threaded into the base thereby pushing the first and second cable portions into the first and second openings and clamping the first and second cables portions into the base.

The present disclosure relates to a bending strain relief (BSR) assembly that limits the bending strain and radius of a marine cable. The BSR assembly includes a coupler attached to first and second elongated BSR members, each BSR member having first and second ends distally spaced from the first end. The first ends including an abutment surface dimensioned for attachment to the coupler. The BSR members each have an inner arcuate surface that is adapted to abut at least a portion of a perimeter of the marine cable and dimensioned for mating receipt with one another at opposing sides of the marine cable. A plurality of rigid support members are disposed in spaced relation and aligned along a common axis and the inner arcuate surfaces of the first and second elongated BSR members. The cable is supported within the inner arcuate surfaces of the first and second BSR members.

A suspension system receives an associated cable. The suspension system includes first and second mount arms disposed in spaced relation that receive a collar assembly having first and second collar members dimensioned to circumferentially enclose around the associated cable in a first assembled position, and a second open position, where the first and second collar members do not circumferentially enclose the associated cable. Sheave mount assemblies are provided along the interconnecting posts and various degrees of freedom are incorporated into the modular assembly.

Suspension system especially for underwater cable

A piezoelectric actuator that can be operated in the d31 mode and which controls the potential energy of a spring is disclosed. The d31 mode of operation provides large actuator displacement and the potential energy of the spring significantly increases the force and work produced by the actuator. In a first embodiment, a single piezoelectric element, operating in the d31 mode, controls the potential energy of the spring. In another embodiment, two piezoelectric elements, both operating in the d31 mode, control the potential energy of the spring.

An ultra violet light sterilizing apparatus utilizing a silicon carbide (SiC) photodiode sensor is described. The ultraviolet light fluid sterilization apparatus includes a fluid chamber, at least one ultraviolet light source configured to emit ultraviolet light into the fluid chamber, and at least one ultraviolet light sensor that includes a silicon carbide photodiode. Each UV light sensor includes a sealed outer housing having an optically transparent window. A silicon carbide photodiode is located inside the housing adjacent the transparent window. Each UV light sensor also includes a signal amplification unit that includes an amplifier mounted on a printed circuit board located inside the housing. The UV sterilization apparatus also includes a controller configured to receive, as input, a signal from each ultraviolet light sensor. The controller compares the input signal to a desired UV light intensity and outputs a control signal to each ultraviolet light source to adjust the intensity of the ultraviolet light emitted from each ultraviolet light source.

An improved ejector and housing connection is accomplished by forming a base portion of the housing with an internal confine for receiving a foot portion of an ejector base section which is made relatively wider than the elongated body portion of the ejector so that the foot section can be used as a stop within the correspondingly widened portion of the housing. The elongated body portion of the ejector is formed with detent members which coact within dovetail shaped grooves formed in the housing wall to maintain the ejector in a locked condition.
