Photopolymeric polyurethanes are provided which have a polymeric backbone including recurring urethane or urea groups or both and which have unsaturated hydrocarbon groups attached to this backbone. These photopolymers are combined with a solvent and have a selected and controlled molecular weight and viscosity. The photopolymeric polyurethane solutions are especially useful in providing plates that have a layer including a photopolymer, particularly plates for printing or photoresists that have a photopolymeric layer over a layer of light sensitive diazonium composition.

The machine processing character as well as the stress-strain properties of polyester polyurethane foam are improved by the use of a cross-linking polyol, a viscosity increasing dicarboxylic acid or anhydride such as phthalic anhydride, and by the use of specific minor amounts of poly(oxyethylene) glycol, in the esterification formula of foam grade polyester resins. A nonhydrophillic flexible polyester based polyurethane foam is produced.

Amine-terminated polyetherurethane-urea polymers in a solvent, as for instance, isopropanol, toluene, and mixtures thereof, are chain-extended with as little as about 0.1 and up to 9 percent, by weight, based on the amine terminated polyetherurethane-urea, of a polyepoxide, such as a polyepoxide of p,p'-isopropylidenediphenol, of a phenolformaldehyde resin, epoxidized soybean oil, diglycidyl phthalate, and the like, to produce films, coatings, adhesives, and caulking having improved hydrolytic stability, and other improved physical properties.
