A method of cooling a load provided in a load compartment in a furnace chamber of a furnace of a hot isostatic pressing device includes releasing hot pressure medium from the load compartment. Cool pressure medium is provided for enabling it to fall through the released hot pressure medium outside the load compartment. The thus obtained mixed pressure medium is led into the load compartment. A hot isostatic pressing device includes a load compartment having an aperture near an upper portion thereof configured to vent warm pressure medium into a region surrounding the compartment and a conduit configured to introduce cool pressure medium into the region surrounding the compartment for mixing with the warm medium. The compartment also includes an aperture near a lower portion thereof configured to receive a mix of warm and cool pressure medium from the region surrounding the compartment.

Hot isostatic pressing device

A press comprises a pressure vessel having an internal closure. The internal closure comprises a cover and a number of elements for transmitting forces in pressurized operation between the cover and the inner wall of the pressure vessel. Each element has a first contact surface adapted to fit a contact surface of the cover and a second contact surface adapted to fit a contact surface of the inner wall of the pressure vessel. The elements are movable away from the contact surface of the cover and the contact surface of the inner wall of the pressure vessel in the direction of the longitudinal center axis of the pressure vessel. A method is provided for opening a pressure vessel.

The present invention relates to a press which comprises a pressure vessel having an internal closure. The internal closure comprises a cover, a number of elements for transmitting forces in pressurized operation between the cover and the inner wall of the pressure vessel. Each element has a first contact surface adapted to fit a contact surface of the cover and a second contact surface adapted to fit a contact surface of the inner wall of the pressure vessel. Said elements are movable away from said contact surface of the cover and said contact surface of the inner wall of the pressure vessel in the direction of the longitudinal centre axis of the pressure vessel. Method of cooling a hot isostatic pressing device and a hot isostatic pressing tool

A pressing device and a method of providing a change of pressure between two pressure states: a low pressure state and a high pressure state of at least 4000 bar, in a pressure vessel of a high pressure isostatic pressing device in which a liquid pressure medium is used for generating the pressure. A first pressure changing device is used for changing the pressure from one of two pressure states to an intermediate pressure state, and a second pressure changing device is used for changing the pressure from the intermediate pressure state to the other one of the two pressure states.

High pressure pressing device and a method

A device for molding objects includes a mold having a molding space enclosed therein and adapted to be filled by a fluid mold material intended to solidify therein. The fluid mold material is injected under pressure into the molding space and solidifies under this high pressure. A chamber receives the mold and is filled with a medium. The medium filling the chamber and surrounding the mold is pressurized. The pressurized medium acts upon the mold from all directions with at least the same pressure magnitude as the pressure of the mold material within the mold. Therefore, the mold is isostatically balanced by the forces acting upon the mold by the mold material and the medium.

Method and device for hot isostatic pressing

A device in hot isostatic pressing has first, second and third pumps. The first pump is adapted to pump a cooled pressure medium emanating from a cooling loop in the pressure vessel upwardly from a first space to a second pump which is arranged in a second space located above the first space but below a load space. The second pump is arranged to pump a mixture of the cooled pressure medium and a warm pressure medium emanating from the second space upwardly through the load space. The third pump is arranged in the second space to pump a warm pressure medium emanating from this space to the second pump for pumping the warm pressure medium by the second pump.

Device in a pressure vessel for hot isostatic pressing

A method of treating parts (,) in a treatment chamber (,) by hot-isostatic pressing with an inert gas as pressure medium and in the presence of a purifying agent (,) for the inert gas comprises the steps of reducing the pressure in the treatment chamber (,), increasing the pressure again by introducing the inert gas, increasing the temperature in the treatment chamber (,) by activating heating elements (,), and, after a certain holding time, reducing the pressure and the temperature again. Especially if the purifying agent (,) is of the same material as the parts (,) being treated, the purifying effect of the purifying agent becomes insufficient. The effect of the purifying agent (,) is improved according to the invention by bringing the inert gas, at least when being introduced, to circulate such that it is heated, passes through the purifying agent and is thereafter cooled before contacting the parts. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.
