A cleaning station for vacuum robots for cleaning floor surfaces, the cleaning station having a housing, the housing having an electrical interface, the interface being designed to contact a vacuum robot approaching the cleaning station for charging, the housing having a suction device, the suction device being designed to empty a vacuum robot approaching the cleaning station for emptying. The housing has at least one status display, the status display being designed to display an operating status of the interface and/or the suction device, wherein the status display comprises at least one projection apparatus. The projection apparatus is designed to project the operating status of the interface and/or the suction device onto the vacuum robot which has approached and/or onto the floor surface and/or onto a wall surface surrounding the cleaning station.

A robotic vacuum cleaner for autonomously cleaning surfaces. The robotic vacuum cleaner comprises an appliance housing and a side arm. The side arm is movably mounted on the appliance housing. A brush element is disposed on the side arm. The side arm projects, in a first position, in front of the appliance housing in part and, in a second position, is received by the appliance housing. The side arm comprising a first arm element having a first end and a second end. The first arm element is movably mounted in the appliance housing at the first end. The side arm comprises a second arm element having a first end and a second end. The second arm element is movably mounted in the appliance housing at the first end and is movably connected to the second end of the first arm element at the second end.

A robot vacuum cleaner includes a housing and a brush roller disposed at a bottom of the housing. The brush roller is configured to be rotatable about a horizontal axle. A blade is disposed above the brush roller in stationary relation with respect to the housing. The horizontal axle is adjustable in height relative to the housing. The brush roller is spaced away from the blade in a lower position and is in engagement with the blade in an upper position.
