A multi-lumen coupler for fluid transfer with a plurality of attachable members is provided. The multi-lumen coupler allows the attachment and detachment of various members used for fluid transfer to an elongated percutaneous medical article such as a catheter or cannula, during use with a patient.

A sleeping bag system has the appearance of a stuffed character when not in use as a sleeping bag and includes a torso including a torso compartment therein, a first limb having a first arm compartment therein which is in connection with the torso compartment, a second limb having a second arm compartment therein which is in connection with the torso compartment, at least a third limb having at least a first leg compartment therein which is in connection with the torso compartment. The sleeping bag system further includes an opening in the torso providing access to the torso compartment from outside of the sleeping bag system and an item removably storable in the torso compartment which is adapted to provide stability to the sleeping bag system such that the sleeping bag system can sit upright without support when not in use as a sleeping bag.

Combination stuffed character and sleeping bags

A fluid connection system and a method of attaching the same are provided to create a sterile fluid-flow path. The connection system includes a fluid access device having a female connector with a female elastomeric member disposed at a proximal end thereof and is coupled to an internal surface of the fluid access device. A male connector is coupled to an external surface of the female elastomeric member. Additionally, a male elastomeric member is disposed within the distal end of the male connector and seals a distal opening thereof. At least one aperture is disposed through a sidewall of the distal end of the male connector. An internal cannula is exposed out of the female connector to open the female elastomeric member upon engagement with the male connector. The male connector is sealed to the female connector by the male elastomeric member.

Sterile connection access system for fluid fittings

A design for snowsports devices such as skis and snowboards uses non-Newtonian materials. Non-Newtonian materials exhibit rate-sensitive characteristics, with stress vs. strain properties dependent on the rate of loading. The snowsports device with non-Newtonian materials has variable stiffness and damping, with both increasing according to an increased applied load-rate such that a single snowsports device exhibits soft flex characteristics under low applied load-rates, but stiffer flex characteristics under high applied load-rates. The flex of the snowsports device is self-adjusting, with no manual adjustment input required by a user. The non-Newtonian material may be incorporated into the structure of the snowsports device in a number of different ways, including in the core, in composite sheet layers, and other locations.
