System and methods for external vulnerability scanning a network are described. When a user equipment is attached to a network, the network provides information about the user equipment to a lookup table. In some examples, the lookup table is maintained by a network, such as mobile network, that facilitates packet-based communications between the user equipment to devices on the Internet. A scanner that performs the external vulnerability scan is provided information stored in the lookup table. The scanner returns the results of the scan to the mobile network.

Systems and methods for performing an external vulnerability scan using external internet protocol addresses

Techniques for neutralizing malicious malware embedded in a media item being sent to a user equipment (UE) are discussed herein. A network device may receive (e.g., intercept) a medial file in transit via a wireless communication network being sent to a UE. The media file may include some type of perceptible content (e.g., audio, video, image data, etc.) as well as malware embedded in the media file. The network device may generate a transcoded media file based on the received media file that includes the perceptible content while neutralizing the malware.

For example, a router can include a link with available bandwidth of 10 Gbps, a value that can be used by a headend when evaluating nodes of the network against a set of constraints required by a particular requested connection or tunnel. A link of that router may exhibit an increased bit error rate which can be used by the label switching router to artificially deflate available bandwidth, thereby reducing the number of label switching paths including the router are selected by the headend.

The disclosed technique includes establishing consensus among devices to share performance metrics data of those devices. An example of the devices includes endpoint devices that are owned or managed by a common entity. The devices form a consensus-based network. The devices are each operable to independently connect to an external network. A manager device of the devices dynamically selects which of the devices will operate like a network access device to route traffic between the devices and the external network. The network access device is selected by the manager device based on the performance metrics data to optimize a global performance metric of the consensus-based network.

The proxy communication system maps one or more client device contact identifiers to one or more proxy contact identifiers from a pool of proxy contact identifiers. The system can establish a communications link between the wireless device and a network access node (NAN) of the 5G network. While connected over a non-mmW band, the wireless device autonomously schedules data downloads to occur when the wireless device is on an mmW band. The system then receives a request from the wireless device to perform the data downloads, which can be enabled by a packet gateway (PGW) upon receiving a confirmation by the NAN that the wireless device can connect over the mmW band. Systems and methods for reducing bandwidth loss in IPv6 packet switching networks. A network appliance is configured to sample IPv6 packets and mirror sampled packets to a working memory or memory structure, such as a queue. A transport layer payload is extracted from each sampled packet and a transport layer checksum validation operation is performed. Upon detecting an error, the network appliance updates a dropped packet rate or other metric.

Service continuity for network management systems in IPv6 networks

Techniques for monitoring and configuring a mesh network are discussed herein. A centralized database may receive, from one or more access points that make up the mesh network, conditions data associated with the access points and the backhaul links between the access points. The centralized database may determine a radio frequency (RF) resource that should be used for the backhaul links to optimize the mesh network and send an instruction to the access point to operate using the RF resource.
