A fixture system includes a housing configured to be mounted in an upper region of a room or area. A light source is supported by the housing for providing visible light to illuminate at least a portion of the room or area. An ultraviolet radiation (UVR) system is supported by the housing for emitting UVC radiation in an upper region of the room or area. The UVR system includes at least one UVC emitting source and an optic member configured to direct UVC radiation in a pattern having a vertical width dimension that is above a threshold height from a floor or ground in the room or area.

A trim member for a lighting device module includes an annular body having a first end portion that is connectable to a housing of the lighting device module and has a light receiving opening, and a second end portion opposite to the first end portion. The second end portion has a light emitting opening and is configured to be positioned outside of the housing of the lighting device module. A first curved or tapered surface extends from the light receiving opening toward the light emitting opening, and has a diameter that increases toward the light receiving opening. A second curved or tapered surface extends from the first curved or tapered surface to the light emitting opening, and has a diameter that increases toward the light emitting opening.

A lighting device system includes a lighting device module having a module housing configured to be selectively inserted through an opening in a panel or a base. Driver electronics are configured to be electrically coupled to the lighting device module. A heat sink member is located adjacent the opening in the panel or the base. A movable biasing device has a first position to apply a bias force on the module housing, pressing the module housing toward the heat sink member to increase thermal transfer. The moveable biasing device has a second position to provide improved access to the driver electronics through the opening in the panel or base relative to the first position. The movable biasing device is selectively moveable from the first position to the second position, or from the second position to the first position.

A lighting device system includes at least one lighting device module having a module housing configured to be inserted at least partially through an opening in a panel, and at least one heat sink member having a contact surface. The at least one heat sink member is located adjacent the opening in the panel. The module housing is held in contact with the contact surface of the at least one heat sink member when the module housing is inserted at least partially through the opening in the panel in an installed state. The module housing is configured to be selectively withdrawn from the contact surface of the heat sink member, through the opening in the panel.

A moveable mount supports a lighting device assembly and driver electronics. The moveable mount includes a base having a light opening, and a light engine support bracket assembly movably secured to the base. The light engine support bracket is configured to support the lighting device assembly and the driver electronics, for movement relative to the base between a first position in which an optic or a light source of the light engine assembly is aligned with the light opening of the base to direct light through the light opening, and a second position in which the driver electronics is aligned with the light opening of the base.

A lighting device system has a lighting device module including a movable heat sink member configured to be received within the inner volume of a module housing. The movable heat sink member is slidably movable along the at least one rail or groove. A light source is attached to the heat sink member for directing light out of the first open end of the module housing, and is movable with the heat sink member to change a tilt angle of the light source.

A pivotal joint connects the first housing portion and the second housing portion together, for pivotal movement relative to each other. The pivotal joint improves the ease and ability of installation of the driver housing in small or narrow spaces.

This invention discloses a design and implementation of an X-band antenna optimized for a moving vehicle to communicate with a stationary orbit satellite. The new antenna design employs unique circuit boards that contain dipole elements, power dividers, pin diode switches and digital phase shifters. The circuit boards perform together as an array to produce high gain beams. Depending on the antenna performance needs, several antenna boards may be required. The circuit boards' dimensions are all identical containing round disks of equal diameters. The dipole radiating elements are located near the outer edge of the board. They are designed to perform circular type polarization. By increasing the diameter of the board and a number of boards, or a combination of the two, one can achieve any desired beam shape that may be required. The disclosure design approach is unique and flexible; for this reason, an eight circuit board vehicle antenna has been configured. The disclosure antenna body is a cylindrical shaped structure which is having a 4.25 inch in diameter and 8.50 inch in height. This design approach is also applicable to frequencies other than X-band. Outstanding characteristics of the disclosure antenna are high performance, rigid body and low cost.

Vehicle antenna for satellite communication

This invention discloses a design and application of a variable beam antenna optimized for WI-HI application in data, video and voice transmission between various systems with an emphasis on medical monitoring. The subject antenna consists of a unique group of dipole radiators that are excited by zigzag feed lines and perform together as an array. This antenna is unique because it can provide various high gain beams by simply applying electrical shorts at the cross points in the feed lines. The shorts can be created mechanically or electronically. The antenna beam coverage can range from 15&#xb0; to 110&#xb0;wide in H plane and maintains a constant beam width of 60&#xb0; in E plane. The shorts are applied to reduce the antenna effective aperture, thereby increasing the beam width of the antenna. The current that flows to the outer dipoles are cut-off due to the shorts.

High gain variable beam WI-FI antenna

Described are dual button push to talk devices that enable a user to simultaneously monitor multiple call nets/voice conferences and selectively respond on each call net that includes a PTT controller that connects to/controls audio streams received from a radio and a voice telephony EUD, selectively routs the audio streams from the radio and the EUD to left and right earpiece outputs simultaneously and selectively routs audio received from microphone input to the radio and the EUD. The PTT receives the radio audio streams through a radio interface and microphone input audio is selectively routed to the radio through the radio interface. The PTT may also include an EUD input, wherein the EUD audio stream is received through the EUD input and a EUD microphone output, in which the audio received from the microphone input is selectively routed to the EUD microphone output.

Dual button push to talk device

A high performance broadband antenna for backpack and helmet application allowing data, video, and voice transmission between parties. The antenna consists of a pair of triangle shaped elements which are configured to stick on a backpack surface or place over a helmet with a coaxial cable connecting a radiating structure to the communication equipment on the body. A metal shielding performs as a ground plane and also acts as a protectant from radiation hazards to the head or body areas. The antenna is made with materials that conform to the shape of a helmet or stick directly onto a backpack surface. This design can function under multiple frequencies on UHF and S bands; its placement on a helmet receives less Interference from Its surroundings.

This invention discloses a design and fabrication of a high performance compact antenna to receive public airwaves HDTV signals. The subject antenna consists of a high efficient cone shape broadband element excited over a small metal ground plane. A reflecting surface is implemented to help rejecting any unwanted multiple reflecting signals from the surrounding objects. Outstanding impedance characteristics and broad pattern coverage have been obtained. The pattern coverage is omnidirectional. The polarization is linear along the cone axis. This antenna design operates well in a weak signal environment and as a result the antenna can receive a large number of public channels. Although the antenna measures only 5&#xbe;&#xd7;5&#xbe;&#xd7;3&#xbc; inches in a cubical enclosure or in a 6&#x215c; inches diameter by 3&#xbd; inches depth cylindrical body, the antenna packaged in either enclosure can receive more public channels than a much larger antenna twice of its size. Two invention antennas have been fabricated and tested and the test results confirmed that all antennas of either enclosure were performing well as expected. The invention antennas receive more than 130 public channels.

High performance (mini-cube) indoor HDTV antenna

This invention discloses a design and fabrication of a high performance HDTV Antenna to receive public airwave signals. The subject antenna consists of a high efficient broadband element and a pair of reflecting surfaces. The reflecting surfaces produce a focusing effect. The backside radiation of the antenna is redirected, making it more energized to receive signals from the front side. This is a very desirable feature in a weak signal environment. The reflecting surfaces provide additional benefits in reducing unwanted multiple reflecting signals which often cause unstable pictures. The broadband radiating element composed a pair of triangular shape radiators which is excited by a new art infinite balun. With this design, it is unnecessary to reposition the antenna in order to receive all available public channels. A fixed location is generally adequate to provide good reception to all stations.
