The media guidance application then generates for display a feedback icon having first, second, and third selectable zones. In response to a selection of the first zone, the media guidance application provides a recommendation for a second media asset depicting the first performer and the second performer. In response to a selection of the second zone, the media guidance application provides a recommendation for a third media asset depicting the first performer and not the second performer. And in response to a selection of the third zone, the media guidance application refrains from providing a recommendation for a media asset that depicts the first performer or the second performer.

Methods and systems for generating media asset recommendations based on feedback icon zone selection

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for a media guidance application that alerts a user to the appearance of objects in media content that may be of interest to the user. For example, as media content progresses, the media guidance application may determine objects that may interest a user. The media guidance application may record the number of determined objects and present the number to the user as well as supplemental content associated with each object.

Methods and systems are described herein for a media guidance application that selects media content for consumption by a user while the user is moving from one location to another. For example, the media guidance application may present advertisements or recommend content to a user that is contextually relevant to the destination of the user. Additionally or alternatively, the advertisements or recommended content may be selected based on the potential destinations of the user, how quickly a user is traveling, a direction the user is traveling, etc.
