Systems are provided for a differential of a powertrain. In one example, a system includes a primary differential pin comprising an I-beam middle section and a secondary differential pin including a slot that interlocks with the I-beam middle section. A pair of the secondary differential pins interlocks with the primary differential pin in a differential assembly.

Systems for differential assembly

A carrier assembly includes a first portion having a cover flange. A second portion is coupled with the cover flange. A first trunnion is coupled with the first portion, and a second trunnion coupled with the first portion opposite the first trunnion. A first trunnion rib is coupled with the first portion, wherein the first trunnion rib projects outward from the first portion. A second trunnion rib is coupled with the first portion, wherein the second trunnion rib projects outward from the first portion. The first and second trunnion ribs are offset from a trunnion centerline.

An oil feed channel lubricating system including a first upstanding wall, a floor and a portion of an interior wall of a carrier. The channel has a first portion angled at a first angle and a second portion angled at a second angle. The first portion preferably has a shallower angle than the second portion. A gap is located between a top of the first upstanding wall and the interior wall of the carrier.
