Examples of hosels and methods to manufacture hosels are generally described herein. In one example, a hosel may include a neck portion configured to receive a golf shaft. The neck portion may have a transition portion that tapers in a downward direction. An insert portion may extend downward from the transition portion and may be configured to be received inside a cavity of a putter-type golf club head. The insert portion may alternate between a first perimeter size and a second perimeter size before tapering toward a terminal end. Other examples may be described and claimed.

Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads

Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. A golf club head includes a face portion having an outer face portion surrounding a face opening and a face insert portion coupled to the outer face portion to close the face opening. A front groove and a back groove are located at a front surface and a back surface of the face portion, respectively. The front and back grooves define an inner area portion for striking a golf ball. The front and back grooves are configured to enhance deflection and rebounding of the inner area portion during impact with the golf ball. The front groove has a groove length that is the same or about the same as a groove length of the back groove. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion comprising an interior cavity and a front portion. The golf club head may include a face portion on the front portion. The golf club head may include a face insert portion defining a first channel. The golf club head may further include a face bracket portion having a first bracket arm positioned at least partially within the first channel of the face insert portion. The first bracket arm can have end portions defining a first length therebetween. The first length may be greater than a first channel length. Additionally, the end portions of the first bracket arm may each be attached to the perimeter portion of the face portion. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion, a first set of ports extending in a heel-to-toe direction, a second set of ports extending in a heel-to-toe direction, a first cavity portion between the first set of ports and the face portion, a second cavity portion between the second set of ports and the rear portion, a first filler material in the first cavity portion, and a second filler material in the second cavity portion. The distance between each port of the first set of ports and the face portion is less than a distance between each port of the second set of ports and the face portion. Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion and a face portion attached to the body portion that comprises a center portion having a first thickness, a perimeter portion having a second thickness greater than the first thickness, spoke portions extending radially from the center portion to the perimeter portion, and recessed portions. Each recessed portion is located between two spoke portions, and each recessed portion extends from the center portion to the perimeter portion. The thickness of each spoke portion increases from the first thickness to the second thickness in a direction from the center portion to the perimeter portion, and each recessed portion has the first thickness from the center portion to the perimeter portion.
