A packer includes a tubular mandrel. The packer includes a first end cap, the first end cap coupled to the mandrel. The packer includes a backup mechanism coupled to the first end cap. The packer includes a swellable elastomeric body positioned about the mandrel abutting the first end cap. The swellable elastomeric body is positioned at least partially between the mandrel and the backup mechanism. The swellable elastomeric body is positioned to not cover the entire outer surface of the backup mechanism.

High pressure swellable packer

A modular downhole packer includes a valve body, which includes a threaded coupler adapted to couple to a tubular and a valve assembly. The packer includes a packer element assembly, which includes a first end coupler, the first end coupler mechanically coupled to the valve body; a packer element; and a second end coupler. The packer includes a floating seal element mechanically coupled to the second end coupler, the floating seal element including a seal extension. The packer includes a floating end anchor. The floating end anchor includes a compression seal housing, the compression seal housing including an outer sealing surface positioned within the seal extension of the second end coupler; a compression seal positioned within a seal pocket formed in the compression seal housing; and an anchor body, the anchor body threadedly coupled to the seal pocket of the compression seal housing, the anchor body abutting the compression seal.

Modular downhole packer

A valve collar for a downhole packer includes a flow path. The flow path includes an opening valve and closing valve. The valve collar further includes a lockout valve piston. The lockout valve piston is positioned such that in an unset position, the flow path is open and in a set position, the flow path is blocked by the lockout valve piston. The lockout valve piston may be adapted to be shifted from the unset position to the set position by a pressure spike inside the valve collar. The lockout valve piston may be held in the unset position by a temporary restraint.

Low fluid level valve

A balanced piston toe sleeve allows a pressure test cycle to be carried out before opening the bore of the toe sleeve to the wellbore. The balanced piston toe sleeve includes a valve assembly in which a valve piston separates a valve cylinder into a balancing cylinder and an actuation cylinder. The actuation cylinder is coupled to the bore through a check valve which allows unidirectional flow into the actuation cylinder. The balancing cylinder is in fluid communication with the bore. After a pressure test cycle, the pressure in the balancing cylinder reduces, while the pressure in the actuation cylinder is retained by the check valve. The valve piston shifts into the open position, allowing fluid flow from the bore to the toe sleeve.

Balanced piston toe sleeve

A downhole packer element includes an inner and outer cable wrapped layer positioned about an inflatable bladder. The inner and outer cable wrapped layers are formed from helically wrapped, parallel cables. The inner cable wrapped layer may be wrapped about a layer of slats. The outer cable wrapped layer may be surrounded by an outer cover. An end sub may serve to couple the downhole packer element to a mandrel.
