A synthetic elastomeric laminate and a control garment are provided. The laminate and garment include a sheet of synthetic rubber and one or more fabric layers laminated to the sheet of synthetic rubber. A process for making an elastomeric laminate is also provided. The process includes cutting a plurality of apertures in an elastomeric sheet of foamed synthetic rubber to define an apertured elastomeric sheet and laminating a first fabric layer to a first side of the apertured elastomeric sheet.

Elastomeric laminates and garments formed thereby

The clamps of the present invention are initially placed apart with a specific separation to properly hold the garments in the constant rate of expansion (CRE) machine. The test method preferably uses panties that have been prepared according to specific test criteria and the CRE machine pre-programmed with specific parameters including the preload and the initial rate of extension. Before testing commences, the midpoint of an individual panty is placed at the center of the clamps. After a pre-determined resistance is sensed by the CRE machine, the rate of extension and the load instantly increase to test the panty's percent of elongation and modulus. This method is repeated for several styles and sizes of panties to obtain accurate, consistent elongation and modulus measurements for each style and size. These measurements thus categorize all of the measured styles and sizes into a standardized panty support classification system.

Method and system for standardized classification of undergarments

A hook and eye fastener is provided in which either, or both of, the hook fastener fabric tape or the eye fastener fabric tape is made of a stretchable material. Preferably, the fabric tape can stretch primarily in a horizontal direction. The fabric tape may be single or multi-ply. In an alternative embodiment, the eye fastener fabric tape is a one piece, open knit construction. This open knit construction provides a number of eyes for a variety of adjustment possibilities with the corresponding hooks.
