An apparatus for a real-time collaboration in calendar is described herein. The apparatus includes a state change module to receive a change notification at a second calendar client rendering a shared calendar. The apparatus also includes an identification module to retrieve an identification (ID) of calendar content, a change in a user interface state, and an extent of a calendar view from a first data structure. Finally, the apparatus includes a replica module of the second client to retrieve calendar content from a second data structure using the ID as an index value.

A system for a map calendar is described herein. The map calendar includes a calendar content database that is to store at least one item of calendar content and a navigation system that determines a zoom level and a panning position of the map calendar. The map calendar also includes a processor that is to determine a summarization level based on the zoom level and the panning position of the map calendar and render the calendar content according to the summarization level.

Embodiments are provided that include the use of an underlying grid structure as part of managing table operations and/or animation visualizations, but are not so limited. A method of an embodiment uses an underlying grid structure as part of an animation control reference or guide to provide table visualizations for display, including using one or more table borders and aspects of a reference grid column or row as part of controlling table features. A system of one embodiment includes a table manager to manage table actions and a grid manager to manage an underlying grid structure based in part on associated table actions and/or animations. Techniques for the automatic animation of document content are described. An apparatus may comprise a difference component operative to receive an old layout of a document and a new layout of the document, the new layout corresponding to an application of one or more changes to the old layout of the document, the difference component operative to determine a set of differences between the old layout and the new layout, and an animation layer generation component operative to generate a set of animation layers from the set of differences. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Techniques for the automatic animation of changes to document content

An application of a touch-based device provides a touch-based reorganization of a page element. The application determines a modification associated with a touch action and a page element in response to detecting the touch action on the page element. A control and a hint associated with the modification is displayed in proximity to the page element. The page element is reorganized based on the modification.

Techniques to select and manipulate table borders as discrete objects are described. In particular, a table border may be selected without having to select a cell that includes the desired border. In one embodiment, for example, a technique may include detecting a selector in proximity to a border in a table. The border in proximity to the selector may be highlighted visually on a display to show which part of the table border may be selected. A selection may cause the highlighted border to be selected. The now-selected border may then be manipulated. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
