A biodegradable plastic composition is used to manufacture a biodegradable plastic. The biodegradable plastic composition includes a biodegradable polyester, a polysaccharide, and a modifier. The modifier is used to compound the polysaccharide and the biodegradable polyester to obtain a biodegradable plastic. The biodegradable plastic has a tensile strength greater than 3 MPa and an elongation greater than 81%.

Biodegradable plastic composition and manufacturing method thereof

A biodegradable polyester is consisting of a poly(terephthalate-di-(&#x3b5;-caprolactone) segment, a poly(terephthalate-butylene-terephthalate) segment, a poly(terephthalate-butylene-&#x3b5;-caprolactone) segment, a poly(&#x3b5;-caprolactone-butylene-&#x3b5;-caprolactone) segment, and a poly(tri(&#x3b5;-caprolactone) segment. The above five segments are obtained by polycondensation reaction of terephthalic acid, 1,4-butanediol and &#x3b5;-caprolactone under the presence of a catalyst, with a polycondensation temperature of 255&#xb0; C. to 270&#xb0; C. and a polycondensation time of 2 hours to 4 hours. Furthermore, based on 1 mole of terephthalic acid, a molar ratio of 1,4-butanediol to terephthalic acid is in the range of 1.1 to 1.4, and a molar ratio of &#x3b5;-caprolactone to terephthalic acid is in the range of 0.5 to 1.6. The biodegradable polyester can have a melting point (Tm) of 90&#xb0; C. to 170&#xb0; C.

Biodegradable polyester

A starch-based biodegradable material composition includes: an enzyme-hydrolyzed starch; and a biodegradable polyester selected from at least one of an aliphatic polyester of polybutylene succinate and an aliphatic-aromatic copolyester. The enzyme-hydrolyzed starch is prepared by hydrolyzing a native starch using a starch-hydrolyzing enzyme. The starch-hydrolyzing enzyme has an activity unit ranging from 15000 to 40000.

The present invention relates to a method to produce biodegradable polyester, which comprises the following steps: (a) mixing a carbon source, a nitrogen source and water into a reactive material to perform pretreatment; (b) providing a halophilic, a starting broth and culture with the reactive material; (c) feeding the reactive material; and (d) extracting the polyester from the fermentation broth; wherein, thehas a salt tolerance of 10-30%.
