A device for generating pulsed electromagnetic fields is described, along with methods of using the device to treat patients by exposure to the pulsed electromagnetic fields. The treatments utilize pulsed electromagnetic fields based on the fundamental Schumann resonance frequency and the first 6 harmonics of that frequency. Various embodiments of the treatment methods include frequency sweeps across or hops between one or more of the Schumann resonance frequencies.

Pulsed electromagnetic field device and methods of use

A device for inducing a relaxation state in a user is provided. The device includes a pair of light sources directed toward a user's eye. The two light sources emit different colors, preferably blue and red. A second pair of light sources may be directed toward the user's other eye. The user can adjust both the color level and the brightness emitted by the pair of lights. The user further may control a flash frequency of the light emitted by the pair of lights. Additionally, the user may control the time duration of the relaxation session. Preferably, the relaxation device is portable. Preferably, the relaxation device is mounted in a pair of eyeglasses or in a mask and includes control electronics for controlling the light sources and a power source for powering the lights and the control electronics.

Compositions and methods for using the same to restore dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) levels in humans are described. The compositions comprise magnesium chloride, a suitable solvent, a gelling agent and a glycerin. The compositions are administered to the skin of humans to enhance DHEA levels through the transdermal absorption of magnesium. The compositions can be administered in various forms, including as a lotion, an ointment, or as a bath additive.

An improved compact transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator (TENS) is provided. The compact TENS of the present invention may be used as a therapeutic device for the reduction of the symptoms of chronic and acute pain. The TENS device includes a power supply and electronics which are packaged to provide a compact, light-weight device which may be worn for an extended period of time by a patient requiring pain relief. Electronic circuitry in the TENS generates an output signal in the form of a positive spike waveform followed by a negative longer duration, lower voltage, waveform. The TENS output signal includes a broad range of frequency components, extending into the gigahertz range. Signal conditioning potentiometers are provided for adjustment of the maximum TENS output signal amplitude. Multiple output channel operation may be provided.
