The present invention thoroughly cleans hairbrushes and combs and comprises an upper portion with at least two openings for containing a hair remover and an item to be cleaned, a rotating roller brush, and a housing portion. The roller brush, together with the hair remover, effectively clean and remove hair from styling combs and brushes and prevent accumulated hair from impeding the cleaning action by removing it from the roller brush. The device is configured in a specialized concave crescent shape, and the pattern of bristles on the roller brush is configured to optimize cleaning action on hairbrushes and styling combs.

The paintbrush-cleaning device includes a housing with an open top, a bottom drain and a central space, containing paintbrush-cleaning liquid therein. A pair of rotatable radial brushes brackets the paintbrushes in the central space and are powered by an electric motor connected to the housing. A number of spaced upwardly directed jet nozzles are disposed in the central space and direct streams of cleaning liquid under pressure upwards towards the paintbrushes. An impeller pump may be connected to a manifold in the central space, from which manifold the jet nozzles extend. Two radial brushes may be used, with the members disposed opposite each other adjacent the sides of the top opening. The radial brushes bear a bristle portion comprising cleaning bristles, which is configured in a spiral along the length of the radial wound brush. The spiral pattern and placement of the radial brushes in the central space effectively clean paintbrushes while transporting cleaning fluid upward and forward from the central space to the paintbrushes via the Archimedes screw principle. The device is simple, durable and efficient.

Scissors are provided having a contoured shape which allows for easy parallel surface cutting and having elastomeric, e.g., rubber, linings inserted into the finger holes of the handles of the scissors to reduce hand fatigue. These scissors are especially useful as children scissors.

A camera lens shading device is disclosed having a flexible mounting band that attaches to a camera lens shroud and shade pieces, the shade pieces being made of opaque, flexible, plastic sheet material. A top shade piece attaches to the mounting band and extends outward from above the camera lens, adjustable over a range of angles. Two side shade pieces are attached to the top shade piece and are adjustable in angle to the top piece and in lateral distance therefrom for fitting a variety of camera lens shroud widths. A hinge section is formed in the top shade piece and side shade pieces for angle adjustment, whereby each piece can be adjusted independently to obtain a desired shading effect. A visor section extends forward from the top shade piece and rear screening sections extend rearward from the side shade pieces to further control the light entering the camera lens area. When dismantled, the shade apparatus is configured into an easily portable, generally flat assembly that enables the device to be stored and transported with the lens in a lens case for mobile television production.

A detachable child-proof keyless lock is provided which fits over the trigger of a firearm to guard against the operation of the firearm by a child. The lock is constructed to fit firearms of various types and sizes. The lock is constructed so that when it is in place, it is absolutely impossible to fire the firearm.
