An end cap for a wiper assembly includes a body adapted to be disposed over a portion of a plurality of splines of the wiper assembly. The body includes a separator adapted to cooperate with the splines of the wiper assembly to separate and retain the splines laterally from movement for a wiping element of the wiper assembly disposed between the splines.

A windshield wiper assembly adapted to be mounted to the attachment portion of a wiper arm including a coupler assembly mounted to a wiper blade and serving to interconnect the wiper blade to the wiper arm. The coupler assembly includes a coupler having a body with a pair of sidewalls, a channel defined between the sidewalls and extending substantially parallel thereto. The channel is adapted to cooperatively receive the attachment portion of the wiper arm. A latching mechanism is operatively mounted to the body and movable between an open position spaced from the channel and a closed position disposed over the channel to secure the attachment portion of the wiper arm between the latching mechanism and the body thereby securing the coupler to the attachment portion of the wiper arm.

A beam blade windshield wiper assembly including a wiping element and at least one elongated beam. A pair of end caps are operatively mounted to the longitudinal ends of the beam. The end caps include a body and inwardly extending legs that together with the body define a central channel that is adapted to receive the longitudinal ends of the wiping element and the beam. The legs include a retention tab that extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the beam and defines a terminal end. The beam includes a notch that corresponds with the retention tab such that the beam is received in the central channel. The retention tab is biased away from the channel until the terminal end of the tab comes into abutting engagement with the notch such that removal of the end cap is prevented.

A windshield wiper arm assembly that is adapted to support a wiper blade as it moves across a surface to be wiped. The windshield wiper arm assembly includes a body and a head supported by the body and adapted to be mounted to a pivot shaft that defines a pivot axis P and drives the wiper blade in an oscillating manner across the surface to be wiped. The body also includes an opening providing access to the head mounted to the pivot shaft. A cover is mounted to the body at the opening and is movable about an axis A substantially parallel to the pivot axis P from a first position closing the opening to a second position allowing access to the head.
