A charging device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention may include: a battery adapted and configured to store a DC voltage, first and second motors adapted and configured to operate as a motor or a generator, first and second inverters adapted and configured to operate the first and second motors, a voltage transformer adapted and configured to boost the DC voltage of the battery to supply it to the first and second inverters and boosts the DC voltage of the inverter to supply it to the battery, and a charging controller adapted and configured to operate the first and second inverters as a booster or operate the voltage transformer as a buck booster according to a voltage that is input through a neutral point of the first and second motors and the voltage of the battery.

Recharge systems and methods

An inverter control apparatus is provided that offers a 'soft turn off' to a gate operation of the inverter so as to securely protect the IGBT. In particular, an inverter control system according to the present invention may include a gate operating portion that controls turn on/off of an IGBT and forcibly turns off the IGBT if a short circuit or an over current is detected from the IGBT, a current buffer that amplifies a control current for the turn on/off of the IGBT that is outputted from the gate operating portion, and a filter that delays the forcible turn off control current that is outputted from the gate operating portion.

Power train of hybrid vehicle

A power transmitting apparatus of hybrid vehicles that transmits torque from an engine and first and second motor/generators to an output shaft is provided. The apparatus may include: a first planetary gear set having a first operating member fixedly connected to the second motor/generator, a second operating member selectively connected to the first operating member, and a third operating member; and a second planetary gear set having a fourth operating member fixedly connected to the engine and selectively connected to the second operating member, a fifth operating member fixedly connected to the first motor/generator and selectively connected to the second operating member, and a sixth operating member fixedly connected to the third operating member and the output shaft. With the apparatus, fuel efficiency can be remarkably improved.

Power transmitting apparatus of hybrid vehicles

A power train according to an embodiment of the invention includes three sets of planetary gear sets, one clutch, and two brakes, such that it provides two electric vehicle modes, two hybrid modes, and two engine modes of overdrive shift ratio. Further, the power train of a hybrid vehicle has a simple configuration, high power performance, and reduced weight and fuel consumption, while being easily equipped in the vehicle. In particular, since an engine mode that makes it possible to reduce a significant amount of fuel consumption especially when a vehicle is traveling at a constant high-velocity.
