An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including an inner space, a hole formed through the housing to the internal space, a stylus pen insertable into the internal space through the hole, wherein the stylus pen includes a first wireless communication circuit and a wireless charging receiver circuit, a wireless charging transmitter circuit positioned inside the housing and configured to provide charging to the wireless charging receiver circuit when the stylus pen is inserted into the inner space, a second wireless communication circuit positioned inside the housing, at processor operatively connected to the wireless charging transmitter circuit and the second wireless communication circuit, and at least one memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein when executed, cause the processor to detect whether the stylus pen is inserted into the inner space, and start to provide charging for a first duration.

Electronic device for controlling communication connection with input device and method of controlling same

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display, a communication circuit, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the display, the communication circuit, and the memory, wherein the processor is configured to detect a pen event for the display to obtain a frequency, to establish a communication connection with an electronic pen using the communication circuit to obtain switch information and a device identification (ID), to obtain an electronic pen connection record from the memory, to determine a type of the electronic pen based on the device ID, to determine an operation mode of the electronic pen based on the switch information when the switch information is obtained, and to perform a predetermined function based on at least one of the frequency, the electronic pen connection record, the type of the electronic pen, or the operation mode.

An electronic device including an electronic pen and a method of controlling a communication connection with the electronic pen is provided. The electronic device include a housing, a touch-screen display, a first wireless communication circuit, an extended recess disposed inside the housing, a first wireless charging circuit; an electronic pen including a second wireless communication circuit and a second wireless charging circuit electrically coupled to the first wireless charging circuit, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions causing the processor to detect whether the electronic pen is inserted into the recess, charge the electronic pen through the first wireless charging circuit based on the detection, receive inherent information of the electronic pen through the first wireless communication circuit during or after the charging, and maintain or re-establish a communication connection with the electronic pen based on at least a portion of the received inherent information.

Electronic device including electronic pen and method of controlling communication connection between electronic device and electronic pen

An electronic device capable of sensing a contact by a peripheral device according to various embodiments may comprise: at least one coil configured to be linked to the peripheral device; and at least one processor configured to sense a contact by the peripheral device. The at least one processor may be configured to: detect a first reception signal from the at least one coil during a first period; apply a first transmission signal to the at least one coil during a second period after the passage of the first period; detect a second reception signal from the at least one coil during a third period after the passage of the second period; and check whether or not the peripheral device has been inserted in the electronic device based on the first reception signal and the second reception signal, wherein the first reception signal is not generated by the peripheral device, and the second reception signal is generated in response to the reception, by the peripheral device, of the first transmission signal.

Electronic device for detecting stylus pen and operation method thereof

An electronic device is provided, which includes a panel configured to identify a position of a stylus pen, a communication module configured to transmit/receive a communication signal to/from the stylus pen, and at least one processor configured to, based on detection of the stylus pen by the panel, perform a first operation based on the position of the stylus pen identified by the panel, based on non-detection of the stylus pen by the panel, identify at least one of information about the position of the stylus pen or information indicating whether a button of the stylus pen is pressed, included in at least one communication signal received through the communication module from the stylus pen, and perform a second operation based on at least one of the information about the position of the stylus pen or the information indicating whether the button of the stylus pen is pressed.

Electronic device for recognizing stylus pen and method of operating the same

An electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise: a panel configured to identify the position of a stylus pen; a communication module configured to transmit/receive a communication signal with the stylus pen; at least one containing space coil disposed in a position corresponding to the position of a containing space capable of containing the stylus pen; and at least one processor. According to certain embodiments, a foldable electronic device comprises: a flexible display; a first housing in which a first region of the flexible display is positioned; a second housing in which a second region of the flexible display is positioned; a hinge structure interposed between the first housing and the second housing and forming a folding axis; a sensor panel interposed between the flexible display and each of the first housing and the second housing, the sensor panel configured to identify input information of a stylus pen, and including a plurality of first vertical channels interposed the first housing and the first region of the flexible display and a plurality of second vertical channels disposed between the second housing and the second region of the flexible display; and a processor configured to control the sensor panel, wherein the processor is configured to: detect whether the foldable electronic device is folded; when the foldable electronic device is folded, transmit a deviation detection signal to at least one of the plurality of first vertical channels and receive the deviation detection signal through at least one of the plurality of second vertical channels; and correct the input information of the stylus pen using a compensation value corresponding to the received deviation detection signal.

Electronic device for recognizing stylus pen and method for operating thereof

Provided is a method of protecting an application from reverse engineering. The method includes registering, in an electronic device, a handler capable of being called as a preset fault is generated in the application, after the handler is registered, executing a protection code for generating the preset fault in the application, determining whether an environment where the application is executed is an abnormal environment, based on whether the handler has been called as the protection code is executed, and performing an operation for protecting the application, based on a result of the determination.

An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a housing elongated between a first end portion and a second end portion; a resonant circuit having a coil placed inside the housing; a wireless communication circuit placed inside the housing; a rectifier for rectifying, to a direct-current power, an alternating-current power which is received via the resonant circuit; a battery which is charged by using the direct-current power; a switch for selectively connecting between the rectifier and the battery; a voltage detector which is set to detect the voltage value of the direct-current power and transmit, on the basis of the detected voltage value, a control signal for turning the switch on and off to the switch and the wireless communication circuit, wherein, when an interval of time between the control signals to be sequentially received from the voltage detector is the same or less than a predetermined value, the wireless communication circuit can be set to ignore at least one control signal to be received additionally after the sequentially received control signals. Digital pen for charging battery and method for operating same

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including an inner space, a hole formed through the housing to the internal space, a stylus pen insertable into the internal space through the hole, wherein the stylus pen includes a first wireless communication circuit and a wireless charging receiver circuit, a wireless charging transmitter circuit positioned inside the housing and configured to provide charging to the wireless charging receiver circuit when the stylus pen is inserted into the inner space, a second wireless communication circuit positioned inside the housing, at least one processor operatively connected to the wireless charging transmitter circuit and the second wireless communication circuit, and at least one memory operatively connected to the at least one processor, wherein when executed, cause the at least one processor to detect whether the stylus pen is inserted into the inner space, start to provide charging for a first duration.

Disclosed is an electronic device including a housing, a display panel which is viewable via a part of the housing, and is configured to detect an input by a stylus pen, a processor operatively connected to the display panel, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory is configured to store instructions which, when executed, enable the processor to receive a signal from the stylus pen via the display panel, determine a strength of the signal, a first phase of the signal, and a location of an input by the stylus pen based on at least the received signal, and adjust a threshold value used for determining a type of an input by the stylus pen based on at least the first phase.
