A method for predistorting an input signal at the predistortion apparatus of the DPD power amplifier includes dividing one or more bits constituting the input signal into upper bits and lower bits; generating two successive address values using the upper bits; generating distortion values of the upper bits corresponding to the address values; calculating a distortion value of the lower bits; and calculating a distortion signal value corresponding to the input signal using the distortion values of the upper bits and the distortion bit of the lower bits. Hence, the time taken to update the LUT can be shortened, the cost can be lowered by the reduced memory capacity, and the power consumption can be decreased.

Method and apparatus for distorting input signal of digital predistortion (DPD) power amplifier in wireless communication system

A transmitting apparatus and method for power amplification with delay control in a wireless communication system are provided. The apparatus includes signal converters, a delay difference measurer, and a delay controller. The signal converters separate a baseband signal into an envelope signal and a phase modulated signal. The delay difference measurer measures a delay difference between an envelope signal path and a phase modulated signal path using a correlation coefficient extraction and interpolation technique. The delay controller sets a delay in a clock period unit to a signal path having a small delay and sets a delay by a remainder delay difference to a signal path having a large delay, depending on the measured delay difference.

Apparatus and method for power amplification with delay control in wireless communication system

Provided is a function of providing a recordable time considering remaining memory capacity. To implement this function, an average reception rate of broadcasting data received for a predetermined time (e.g., several seconds) is calculated, and the recordable time is calculated using the calculated average reception rate and the remaining memory capacity. By doing this, even if the amount of broadcasting data to be recorded varies according to broadcasting programs, the amount of broadcasting data to be recorded can be predicted, and thereby, a user can efficiently record a desired broadcasting portion by actively determining whether the broadcasting is recorded.

Method of providing recordable time according to remaining memory capacity and terminal therefor

Provided are an apparatus and a method for compensating for an I/Q mismatch using a transmission signal in a wireless communication system. The apparatus includes a coupler, an FFT operator, and an I/Q mismatch estimator. The coupler couples the transmission signal and provides the coupled signal to a reception path, and the FFT operator performs FFT on the coupled transmission signal. The I/Q mismatch estimator estimates I/Q mismatch using a preamble of the FFT-performed transmission signal. The apparatus can compensate for I/Q mismatch in real-time. Since the FFT provided to a reception signal detection unit of a TDD OFDM receiver is used without the need for a separate algorithm for Fourier transform required during an I/Q mismatch estimation process of the conventional art, resources can be saved.
