A media cassette for a media dispenser includes a cassette body which includes a storage space in which media are filled and a discharging opening through which the media are discharged. A door selectively opens and closes the discharging opening. A solenoid and locking member are installed in the storage space to selectively lock and unlock the door in response to an external electrical signal. A gear unit is formed at an external surface of the door, and an opening/closing gear of the media dispenser is engaged with the gear unit to open and close the door. The solenoid is installed in the cassette body, and the locking member is also installed in the cassette body to lock and unlock the door via a driving force of the solenoid.

Media cassette for media dispenser

The media cassette for a media dispenser includes a cassette body including a storage space in which media are filled. A media discharging opening is provided at a side thereof. A discharging door is movable along one surface of the cassette body and driven by means of a driving source provided at a main body of the media dispenser for opening and closing the media discharging opening. Supporting rods are connected to the door. A locking mechanism for selectively blocking ends of the supporting rods is provide in the cassette body and selectively locks/unlocks the door in accordance with an electrical signal transmitted from the main body of the media dispenser. The door cannot be manually unlocked from outside of the media cassette.

A media thickness detector includes a driving force transmission part for removing vibration generated from a driving source. A sensing roller feeds media by receiving the driving force through the driving force transmission part. Sensing bearings are installed on bearing holders and rotate about a central shaft under an elastic force so that they are brought into close contact with the sensing roller. A damper member is connected to the central shaft at a position between the bearing holders and absorbs vibration generated in the central shaft. A thickness sensor detects the thickness of media passing between the sensing bearings and the sensing roller based on a rotating amount of the bearing holders.

A media dispenser comprises: a casing separatably installed on a mounting portion of a media dispenser having an eject hole through which media is ejected, and including a media receipt portion on which the media ejected from the eject hole is mounted and an opening portion through which the media on the media receipt portion can be withdrawn by a user; a door for opening/closing the opening portion by a door moving device; and a media guiding portion installed on the eject hole for guiding the media to be ejected on the media receipt portion as facing the opening portion.

Media dispenser apparatus

A media dispenser module for an ATM is provided which has a secure locking mechanism. The media dispenser module may include a casing that is separatably coupled to a discharge portion for media, including a media mounting portion, on which discharged media is mounted, and an opening portion for withdrawing the media mounted on the media mounting portion. A door moving device moves a door along a plane made by the opening portion, and a pair of catching portions are formed on both sides of the media mounting portion. A locking mechanism engages the catching portions when the door completely closes the opening portion so as not to open the door.
