Disclosed herein is an air conditioner. The air conditioner includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet, a blade having a plurality of discharge holes and provided to discharge air through the plurality of discharge holes, a first opening formed between one side of the blade near the inlet and the housing when the blade discharges air through the plurality of discharge holes, and a second opening formed between the housing and the other side opposite to the one side of the blade when the blade discharges air through the plurality of discharge holes.

An air conditioner according to an aspect of the present invention includes a housing arranged to be mounted on or embedded in a ceiling, a cover panel coupled to a lower portion of the housing, the cover panel including an inlet and an outlet, a blower fan configured to draw in air into the housing through the inlet and discharge air out of the housing through the outlet and a blade configured to open and close the outlet, the blade including a plurality of through holes to control the air discharged out of the housing through the outlet while the blade closes the outlet. With this structure, the air conditioner can discharge air in various ways by varying the wind direction, the wind speed, and the air amount of the discharged air.

An air conditioner includes a housing provided with a suction port and a discharge port elongated in one direction on the lateral side of the suction port, a main flow path configured to connect the suction port to the discharge port, a main fan provided in the main flow path to suck air via the suction port and to discharge the air via the discharge port, an auxiliary fan configured to suck the air around the discharge port to regulate the direction of the air which is discharged via the discharge port and an auxiliary flow path configured to guide the air sucked by the auxiliary fan. According to the air conditioner, it is possible to control the direction of the discharge airflow without a blade structure, increase the discharge amount, reduce the flow noise, and differentiate the design.

An air conditioner (AC) indoor unit includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet; a heat exchanger arranged inside the housing; a blower fan for sucking in air at the inlet to be subject to heat exchange with the heat exchanger, and discharging the heat-exchanged air out of the outlet; and an air flow control device for controlling an air flow discharged from the outlet by sucking in air around the outlet. The AC indoor unit may control the direction of a discharged air flow without a conventional blade structure, thereby increasing an amount of discharged air, reducing circulation noise, and enabling design differentiation.

Air conditioner and method for controlling the same

Provided is a propeller fan including a hub having an oval shape in an axial direction, a plurality of wings that extend from the hub, and at least one reinforcement rib that extends from the hub and is formed closer to a leading edge of each of the plurality of wings. Through this configuration, the propeller fan has blowing efficiency and stiffness, and the weight and material cost of the propeller fan can be reduced.

A fan including a hub part, a blade part and a vibration-absorbing boss, all constituent elements of which are injection molded, thereby reducing production costs. The fan has a minimized contact area between the vibration-absorbing boss and the hub part to prevent the vibration-absorbing boss from being deformed by high-temperature heat during insert injection molding of the hub part and the blade part while assuring sufficient strength of the hub part.
