Provided is a photographing apparatus. The photographing apparatus includes: a main body having an image pickup device disposed therein; a middle cover disposed in a back side of the main body and includes a first opening disposed to correspond to a position of the image pickup device; a first connector formed on the middle cover and around the first opening, where the first connector is configured to couple to an external optical component and is disposed so that the an optical axis of the image pickup device coincides with an optical axis of the external optical component, when the external optical component is coupled to the first connector; and a rear cover disposed on the middle cover and includes a second opening disposed to correspond to the position of the image pickup device.

A method of controlling a digital camera includes performing photographing of an object, determining whether the amount of exposure is appropriate and shakiness is present, and notifying a user of such information if the amount of exposure is not appropriate or shakiness is present. The determination step includes reading a focus value of the object, reading a lower limit value of a compressed file size set to correspond to the read focus value of the object at a compression rate and a resolution set by the user, and determining that the amount of exposure is not appropriate and shakiness is present if the size of a present compressed file of image data obtained from the photographing is smaller than the lower limit value of the compressed file size.

Method of monitoring digital camera capable of informing user of inadequate photographing

A flash controlling apparatus is provided including a light receiving unit PS, a current-to-voltage converter IVC, a comparator CR, and a micro-controller MC. The light receiving unit PS generates a current signal corresponding to the flash intensity of a camera. The current-to-voltage converter IVC converts the current signal received from the light receiving unit PS into a voltage signal S . The comparator CR compares the voltage signal S with a reference voltage V to obtain a resultant logic signal S . The micro-controller MC controls the operation of the current-to-voltage converter IVC and controls the operation of a flash device of the camera according to the resultant logic signal S received from the comparator CR. The voltage signal S from the current-to-voltage converter IVC has the characteristics of a logarithmic function with respect to time.
