A display driver integrated circuit (IC) includes a data line driver that drives a first data line connected with a first pixel of a display in response to output image data, and a dithering circuit that receives a brightness value of the display, calculates a first reference grayscale value corresponding to the brightness value using a first group of threshold grayscale values, receives input image data with a first grayscale value, which corresponds to the first pixel, compares the first grayscale value and the first reference grayscale value, and generates the output image data having not the first grayscale value but an output grayscale value when the first grayscale value is smaller than the first reference grayscale value.

The semiconductor device includes: an offset compensation circuit configured to obtain first data including first low-order bit data, second low-order bit data and high-order bit data, select two compensation values from among a plurality of compensation values based on the first low-order bit data, identify a final compensation value by interpolating the two compensation values based on the second low-order bit data, and compensate the final compensation value to generate second data; and a source driver configured to interpolate and output two gamma voltages from among a plurality of gamma voltages based on the second data.

An electroluminescent display device includes a display panel including pixels, a storage circuit, a luminance compensation circuit and a data driver. The storage circuit stores information on a leakage curve indicating a luminance change value of a target pixel according to a change of an input pixel value of a neighboring pixel, the plurality of pixels including the target pixel and the neighboring pixel. The luminance compensation circuit receives input pixel values corresponding to the pixels and generates compensated pixel values respectively corresponding to the pixels by compensating for lateral leakage based on the leakage curve, where the lateral leakage is caused by leakage currents through a common conduction layer of the pixels. The data driver drives the pixels based on the compensated pixel values. The exact (or close) luminance of the input image is realized by compensating for the luminance distortion.

Electroluminescent display device and method of compensating for luminance in the same

A display device is provided. The display device may include pixels arranged in rows and columns, gate drivers connected to the rows of the pixels through gate lines, source drivers connected to the columns of the pixels through source lines, and a timing controller configured to control the gate drivers and the source drivers. The source driver associated with the specific pixel among the source drives may first supply an overdrive voltage corresponding to a final overdrive value to a source line connected to the specific pixel and then supply a source line voltage corresponding to a current value of the specific pixel to the source line. The overdrive controller may change weight values of at least two overdrive values based on a position of the specific pixel and interpolate the at least two overdrive values.
