Driving controller, display device, and method of driving display device

A display driver includes a nonvolatile memory, an encoder, a decoder, and a compensator. The nonvolatile memory is configured to store accumulated stress data and compensation data corresponding to the accumulated stress data. The encoder is configured to encode the compensation data received from the nonvolatile memory to generate encoded compensation data. The decoder is configured to decode the encoded compensation data to generate decoded compensation data. The compensator is configured to process input image data based on the decoded compensation data and generate accumulated stress data.

Display driver

A driving controller of a display device includes: an accumulation unit, which outputs accumulation data, which is obtained by accumulating a deterioration state, and a deterioration stress value based on an input image signal and a deterioration prediction temperature value; a temperature prediction unit that calculates the deterioration prediction temperature value based on the accumulation data, a color acceleration coefficient, a color current contribution ratio, and a temperature signal; and a compensation unit that outputs an output image signal based on the input image signal and the deterioration stress value.

Driving controller, display device, and operation method of the display device

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a driving controller and a data driver. The display panel includes a pixel. The driving controller generates an age compensation value using a sensed age generated based on sensing data of the pixel and an accumulated age generated based on accumulated grayscale values of input image data, generates a final age based on the age compensation value, and compensates a grayscale value of the input image data based on a final age to generate a data signal. The data driver converts the data signal to a data voltage and outputs the data voltage to the display panel.

Display apparatus and method of compensating image of display panel using the same

A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, an image sticking compensator which receives image data, compensates for the image data based on lifespan data to generate lifespan compensation data, and a panel driver which provides data signals corresponding to the lifespan compensation data to the display panel. The image sticking compensator includes a compensator which receives the first cumulative data, generates the lifespan data based on the first cumulative data, compensates for the image data based on the lifespan data to generate the lifespan compensation data, a memory controller which receives the second cumulative data and the lifespan data from the compensator, a volatile memory which stores the second cumulative data from the memory controller, a main nonvolatile memory which stores the second cumulative data from the memory controller, and a sub-nonvolatile memory which stores the lifespan data from the memory controller.
