A mobile communication device includes a first plate, and a second plate provided with guide rails on respective edges thereof and slidably coupled to the first plate. A main body is coupled to the first plate and a sub body is coupled to the second plate. Torsion springs are provided on the first plate, adjacent to respective edges of the first plate. Contact members are respectively provided at one end of each torsion spring and each contact member contacts a corresponding guide rail due to elasticity of the torsion spring. Guide slits are disposed in the first plate, adjacent to respective edges of the first plate. Each guide slit receives a corresponding contact member.

A sliding module includes a main housing; a sliding housing on the main housing, a push rod interposed between the main housing and the sliding housing to provide an elastic force to slide the sliding housing, a support member mounted on the main housing and rotatably or slidably coupled with the push rod, and a locking member disposed on the push rod and the support member. The locking member blocks the push rod to limit the sliding of the push rod on the support member and allows the push rod to slide when the push rod rotates on the support member according to the sliding of the sliding housing.

Disclosed herein is a locking apparatus of a swing hinge module for mobile communication terminals that is capable of improving a locking force of the swing hinge module, the mobile communication terminal including first and second housings rotatably connected to each other by the swing hinge module. The swing hinge module includes a locking apparatus having a hinge cap extending in the longitudinal direction thereof and having a closed end formed such that a head of the hinge shaft is inserted through the closed end of the hinge cap and an open end formed such that the hinge cap is attached to the hinge housing while the hinge cap surrounds the outer circumference of the hinge housing through the open end of the hinge cap, and a hinge fixing plate engaged with the head of the hinge shaft while opposite to the hinge cap such that the hinge housing and the hinge cap are fixed to each other by means of the hinge fixing plate while being rotated relative to the hinge fixing plate.

A sliding-type portable terminal, the sliding-type portable terminal having a first housing, and a second housing slidably coupled with the first housing. The sliding-type portable terminal includes a first driving device interposed between the first and second housings for providing driving force to make the second housing move to a position at which the first housing is open; a second driving device interposed between the first and second housing for providing driving force to make the second housing move to a position at which the second housing overlaps with the first housing, the second driving device having less driving force than that of the first driving device; a restricting device for restricting a sliding movement of the second housing at the position where the second housing overlaps with the first housing; and a releasing device for releasing the restriction of the second housing to the first housing.
