An antenna device capable of using an existing external antenna as a diversity antenna is disclosed. The disclosed antenna device includes: a radiator configured to be extensible to the outside of a terminal; a feeding switch configured to perform a switching operation for connecting one of a plurality of feeding units to the radiator; at least one conductive line of which a first end coming into contact with a part of the radiator when the radiator is inserted into the inside of the terminal; and at least one ground switch coupled to the at least one conductive line and configured to switch a connection between a second end of the conductive line and the ground. In accordance with the disclosed antenna device, it is possible to use an existing external antenna as a diversity antenna without installing an additional antenna.

Antenna which can be used as diversity antenna

A broadband internal antenna using double electromagnetic coupling is disclosed. The disclosed antenna may include: a first conducting member electrically connected to a feeding point; a second conducting member placed at a designated distance from at least a portion of the first conducting member so as to allow a first electromagnetic coupling with at least a portion of the first conducting member, and remaining in a floating state without being coupled to a ground and the feeding point; a third conducting member placed at a designated distance from the second conducting member so as to allow a second electromagnetic coupling with the second conducting member, and electrically connected to the ground; and a fourth conducting member extending from the third conducting member, for radiating RF signals. The disclosed antenna has the advantage of providing broadband characteristics within a limited size.

A patch antenna is disclosed. The disclosed patch antenna may include: a first radiator configured to generate a circular polarized wave; a first dielectric substrate equipped under the first radiator; a second radiator, placed under the first radiator at a designated distance from the first radiator, and configured to generate a linear polarized wave; a second dielectric substrate equipped under the second radiator; and a reflecting plate equipped under the second radiator at a designated distance from the second radiator; where the first dielectric substrate, the second radiator, the second dielectric substrate, and the reflecting plate are connected through at least one via. A patch antenna according to the present invention has the advantages of being able to generate linear polarized waves and circular polarized waves simultaneously, and of having a small size while still having a high design frequency band.
