Provided are a basic electrocatalyst applied to a carbon dioxide reduction and ethylene production system, a basic electrocatalyst electrode and an apparatus each including the same, and a method of manufacturing the basic electrocatalyst electrode. The basic electrocatalyst electrode for for carbon dioxide reduction and ethylene production includes: catalyst particles each including copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)); and a basic compound. Since the basic electrocatalyst electrode has high carbon dioxide reduction performance and high ethylene selectivity, the basic electrocatalyst electrode may be applied to a reduction electrode of a carbon dioxide reduction and ethylene production apparatus and may exhibit high current density and high ethylene selectivity. The basic electrocatalyst electrode may be manufactured by a simple method, and may be applied to a large-area electrode.

According to a main objective of the present invention, the three-dimensional arrangement of solar cells is adjusted so as to use sunlight directly coming from the sun mainly for solar power generation while transmitting wavelengths necessary for the growth of plants and reflecting wavelengths unnecessary for or hindering the growth of plants among wavelengths of sunlight passing through the solar cells to use the reflected wavelengths for additional solar power generation. Sunlight reflected by the dichroic optical filter may be used to additionally generate electricity using solar cells provided perpendicular to the dichroic optical filter, thereby maximizing the use efficiency of sunlight.

Proposed is an iridium alloy catalyst having reversible catalytic activity for an oxygen evolution reaction (OER), a hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and a hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) by including an iridium alloy including iridium (Ir) and nickel (Ni). The iridium alloy catalyst according to the present disclosure is rapidly converted to an iridium alloy catalyst in an oxide form and an iridium alloy catalyst in a metallic form according to applied voltage by controlling its crystallinity. Thus, even in case an oxide layer is formed after the OER, the oxidation layer disappears during the HER and HOR and the properties of an iridium metal catalyst remain, thereby maintaining HER/HOR performance.

Disclosed is a thin film solar cell for BIPV capable of improving a utility value for the exterior by visually changing a black color of an inorganic thin film solar cell into a color of reflected light therefrom to exhibit an exterior appearance having the color without substantially lowering efficiency required for a solar cell to thereby facilitate commercialization of the inorganic thin film solar cell. Also disclosed is a thin film solar cell for BIPV capable of maintaining a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) required for a solar cell when used as a finishing material of a building envelope, and visually changing a black color of an inorganic thin film solar cell into a color of reflected light therefrom to be suitable for the exterior with only a slight reduction of relative harvesting efficiency and a short circuit photocurrent density without a decrease of an open circuit voltage V.

Thin film solar cell for BIPV and method for manufacturing the same

Methods of manufacturing a CIGS thin film for a solar cell are provided. According to the method, a CIGS thin film having an ideal double band gap grade structure with a large particle size may be obtained by heat-treating a solution-treated CIG oxide thin film by a three-step chalcogenization process. Accordingly, performance of the solar cell may be improved.

Provided is a CIGSSe thin film for a solar cell, a method for preparing the same, and a solar cell using the same. More particularly, the CIGSSe thin film for a solar cell shows a decrease in peak intensity of sulfur from the surface of the thin film to the local minimum value point of sulfur content in the depth direction, after the analysis based on the Auger electron spectroscopy, and thus controls the band-gap in the thin film. Disclosed are methods for producing chalcopyrite compound (e.g., copper indium selenide (CIS), copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS), copper indium sulfide (CIS) or copper indium gallium sulfide (CIGS)) thin films. The methods are based on solution processes, such as printing, particularly, multi-stage coating of pastes or inks of precursors having different physical properties. Chalcopyrite compound thin films produced by the methods can be used as light-absorbing layers for thin-film solar cells. The use of the chalcopyrite compound thin films enables the fabrication of thin-film solar cells with improved efficiency at low costs.

A method of fabricating a transparent electrode for use in a quantum dot sensitized solar cell, and a quantum dot sensitized solar cell fabricated according to the method are provided. According to the fabrication method, (S1) quantum dot precursor is introduced into a high pressure storage vessel and a quantum dot precursor is dissolved using subcritical fluid or supercritical fluid; (S2) the quantum dot precursor fluid prepared at (S1) is transported to contact with a conductive thin layer substrate comprised of a metal oxide placed in a high pressure reaction vessel, thereby causing the quantum dot precursor to be adsorbed in the metal oxide thin layer; (S3) non-adsorbed quantum dot precursor fluid of (S2) is transported and thus recovered to the high pressure storage vessel together with the subcritical fluid or supercritical fluid; and (S4) the subcritical fluid or supercritical fluid is removed from the high pressure reaction vessel, and the quantum dot precursor, adsorbed at (S2), is reacted with a second element which constitutes the quantum dot or a compound comprising the second element.

A preparation method of a CIS-based or CIGS-based thin film for a light absorption layer of a solar cell, which uses a paste prepared by mixing precursors of Cu, In, Se, and optional Ga in a solvent, minimizes the raw material loss, does not produce a toxic gas during the process, and is suitable for producing a large scale film at a low production cost.

Provided is a zinc air fuel cell with enhanced cell performance which includes a separator-electrode assembly including a perforated metal plate as a cathode current collector, a catalyst-coated carbon paper, a separator, a perforated metal plate as an anode current collector, and a tilted nonconductive support. A metal plate may be placed on the tilted nonconductive support and connected to the anode current collector in the separator-electrode assembly to enlarge the active area of the anode current collector. Performance may be efficiently enhanced by minimizing a distance between the anode current collector and the cathode current collector, and by adding a metal plate which plays a role of an additional anode current collector on the tilted nonconductive support so as to increase the overall active area of anode current collector contacting with zinc pellets and to resultantly enhance the ionization of zinc.
