The invention comprises an improved floor covering product. The floor covering product comprises a floor covering material having a face surface and a back surface. On the back surface of the floor covering material is a layer of polyurethane having a cure index of between approximately 70 and 90. A method of using the floor covering product is also disclosed.

Floor covering product and method of using same

An improved process for the manufacture of polyurethane elastomers from a reaction mixture which comprises a polyol, an isocyanate, water, a bismuth catalyst and an optional filler. In the improved process of this invention, the rate of reaction is decreased by the addition of water to the reaction mixture and increased by the removal of water from the reaction mixture.
