A system for processing routing according to priorities of logical interfaces is provided. The system includes a priority setting unit for setting priorities of a plurality of logical interfaces set in a physical interface, and a priority scheduler for determining a priority of a respective logical interface from an input frame, and for outputting the input frame to a driver queue of the physical interface when the input frame is output from a logical interface having the highest priority. Traffic burstiness caused by queuing can be reduced in a network routing system employing at least one logical interface.

A method for authenticating address ownership using a Care-of Address (CoA) binding protocol, the method includes a comparison of two hash-function-processed result values, i.e., a first hash-function-processed result value transmitted from a home agent, the first hash-function-processed result value encrypted by a public key of a correspondent node and decrypted by a secret key of the correspondent node, and a second hash-function-processed result value piggybacked in a binding update message transmitted from a mobile node. The hash-function-processed result values are obtained by applying hash functions to a care-of address of a mobile node to be used in a foreign link, a random number generated by a home agent and a secret key shared by the home agent and the mobile node.

A zero-delay queuing method and system. The zero-delay queuing method includes the steps of: when a packet corresponds to a class set to perform zero-delay queuing, transferring the packet to a zero-delay queue; when a size of the packet does not exceed a CR value set for the class, transferring the packet to a strict priority transfer queue; and forwarding the packet existing in the strict priority transfer queue prior to packets existing in general data transfer queues. According to the zero-delay queuing method and system, it is possible to forward specific traffic requiring real-time transfer without delay, and furthermore, it is possible to serve packets corresponding to a zero-delay queue while ensuring a Peak Rate (PR) value as well as a Committed Rate (CR) value.

In transferring a service context during hand-over of a mobile node located in a wireless mesh network, transfer boundaries are set according to positions spaced from an initial Access Point (AP) to which the mobile node is initially connected to, AP types being determined based upon the set transfer boundaries. Prior to hand-over of the mobile node in response to its movement, a service context is transferred to APs arranged in a moving direction of the mobile node based upon context transfer policies according to the determined AP types.

A method for managing forwarding information in a router having a distributed architecture with a plurality of routing nodes. Forwarding information is dynamically aggregated, or disaggregated, in response to an addition or a deletion of forwarding information, so that the size of the forwarding tables managed by the routing nodes of the router are reduced. The transmission of control packets being transmitted to update the forwarding tables is reduced; consequently internal traffic is also reduced.

Dynamic management method for forwarding information in router having distributed architecture

Disclosed is a method for checking for errors and problems in routing protocol modules through hello packet transmission in a distributed router that is mounted with a network processor, a system processor, a routing protocol module, and a switch module including at least two input/output processors which can be operated together with independent routers, a system processor, and a designate routing protocol module. The method including the steps of: checking hello packet transmission cycle; if the hello packet transmission cycle has expired, transmitting a hello packet to the adjacent routing protocol module; receiving a hello response packet from the adjacent routing module; if the adjacent routing protocol module does not send the hello response packet, concluding that the adjacent routing is malfunctioning; and transmitting information on the malfunctioning adjacent routing protocol module to the designate routing protocol module.

Method for detecting problems in routing protocol modules of distributed router

Processing broadcast data in a mobile Ad-hoc network includes: determining if all of the broadcast packets have been received using a Latest Broadcast Count Number (NBC) stored in a neighbor table within a buffer of a pertinent node and Broadcast Count Number (BC) contained in the broadcast packets received from a transmitting node upon receipt of broadcast packets transmitted from the transmitting node. The Broadcast Count Number (BC) of the received broadcast packet is compared with a buffer size of the pertinent node if all of the broadcast packets transmitted from the transmitting node have been received. A hello packet for flushing a buffer of the transmitting node is generated and transmitted to the transmitting node, the buffer of the pertinent node is flushed, and the neighbor table of the flushed buffer is updated, if the Broadcast Count Number (BC) of the received broadcast packet exceeds the buffer size.
