A multi-stage electric centrifugal compressor configured to drive impellers disposed at both ends of a rotational shaft by an electric motor includes: the rotational shaft; a low-pressure-stage impeller disposed at one end of the rotational shaft; a high-pressure-stage impeller disposed at the other end of the rotational shaft; a high-pressure-stage housing accommodating the high-pressure-stage impeller; and a connecting pipe for supplying a compressed gas compressed by the low-pressure-stage impeller to the high-pressure-stage housing. The high-pressure-stage housing has a high-pressure-stage inlet opening that opens in a direction intersecting an axis of the rotational shaft. The connecting pipe includes a high-pressure-stage-side connection portion connected to the high-pressure-stage inlet opening.

A temporal change of a turbo rotation speed of a turbocharger is detected for each cycle of an engine. A first vibration component corresponding to each of cylinders is specified from a pulsation component included in the temporal change of the turbo rotation speed, and the first vibration components for each of the cylinders are integrated over a plurality of cycles. A variation of combustion states in the plurality of cylinders is calculated by comparing integration results among the cylinders.

Multi-stage turbo supercharging system

A control device according to the present invention determines whether a demand load demanded of an engine exceeds a load threshold. The control device starts an electric motor if the demand load exceeds the load threshold. If the demand load is equal to or less than the load threshold, the control device performs control such that the degree of opening of an on-off valve increases monotonically with respect to the demand load. The control device switches the on-off valve from an open state to a closed state when the electric motor starts.

A turbine supercharger includes: a turbine; a turbine housing which houses the turbine; and a turbine bypass valve for controlling a flow rate of exhaust gas to be supplied to the turbine. The turbine housing includes, inside the turbine housing: a scroll flow passage for guiding the exhaust gas to the turbine; an outlet flow passage for discharging the exhaust gas supplied to the turbine to outside of the turbine housing; and a bypass flow passage bypassing the turbine and connecting the scroll flow passage and the outlet flow passage. The turbine bypass valve includes: a valve rod; a valve body having a flat plate shape and being configured to revolve about the valve rod; and a valve housing having a cylindrical shape and defining a part of the bypass flow passage inside the valve housing. The valve housing is fixed to an inner peripheral wall surface of the bypass flow passage, inside the turbine housing.

A multi-stage electric centrifugal compressor including an electric motor free from risk of breakdown of an operation control part due to heat generated by low-pressure stage and high-pressure stage compressors. Includes an electric motor; a pair of centrifugal compressors comprising a low-pressure stage compressor and a high-pressure stage compressor connected in series; a heat-shielding plate configured to shield heat generated by the low-pressure stage compressor; and a bending portion disposed in middle of the heat-shielding plate, and extending along a rotational shaft of the electric motor so as to surround an outer periphery of the rotational shaft. An inner surface of the bending portion faces the rotational shaft via a clearance part, and the bending portion functions as a shaft sealing portion which prevents leakage of intake air from the low-pressure stage compressor.

This control device starts an electric motor on the basis of a drive signal. After starting of the electric motor, the control device switches a bypass valve from an open state to a closed state.

A centrifugal compressor includes: a compressor housing; an impeller wheel for compressing intake air, disposed inside the compressor housing; a parallel flow generating unit for rectifying the intake air flowing in via an intake port to be parallel to the direction of a rotation shaft; and a recirculation channel for returning a part of the intake air in an outer circumferential section of the impeller wheel to an upstream side of the impeller wheel. The parallel flow generating unit includes a parallel flow generating part including a plurality of guide vanes and a central intake-air flowing section which is a space surrounded by the parallel flow generating part. An intake-air outflow direction from an upstream opening is oriented toward the parallel flow generating part.

A rolling bearing for rotatably supporting a rotating shaft; a housing for externally covering the rolling bearing in the radial direction of the rotating shaft; a sleeve disposed inside the housing in the radial direction of the rotating shaft with a gap there between and provided so as to be incapable of being displaced relative to an outer ring in the radial direction and circumferential direction of the rotating shaft; and a damper provided between the housing and the sleeve to support the sleeve so that the sleeve can be displaced relative to the housing in the axial direction of the rotating shaft, the damper absorbing the displacement of the sleeve in the radial direction of the rotating shaft.
