To a hermetic compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having the same, an oil separator for separating oil from a refrigerant discharged from a compression unit is added. Separated oil is recollected into an oil pump driven by a driving motor. Because refrigerant separated from the oil is prevented from being re-introduced into the compressor, a cooling capability of the refrigeration cycle device may be enhanced. Because the oil pump is driven by the driving force of the driving motor, the compressor may have a simplified configuration, and the fabrication costs may be reduced. The oil used for a crankshaft lubrication process is returned to the oil pump by forming an oil pocket between bearing surfaces of a crankshaft and the oil pump, oil may be prevented from back-flowing to the oil separator from the crankshaft. This may allow oil to be smoothly recollected into the oil pump.

Hermetic compressor including a backflow preventing portion and refrigeration cycle device having the same

Disclosed are a hermetic compressor and a refrigeration cycle device having the same. An oil separator for separating oil from a refrigerant is installed outside a casing. The oil separated by the oil separator is recollected into the casing by an oil pump driven by a driving force of a driving motor. The oil is recollected from the refrigerant and fabrication costs are be reduced. A cooling capability of the refrigeration cycle device is enhanced, the compressor has a simplified configuration, and the fabrication costs are reduced. Because an outlet of a discharge opening through which oil is discharged to the casing from the oil pump is installed at a position lower than a minimum level of oil in the casing, the refrigerant is prevented from backflowing into an oil passage, and the occurrence of air bubbles on the surface of oil in the compressor may be prevented.

A scroll compressor and a refrigerating machine including the same are provided. In the scroll compressor, an oil supply hole formed in an orbiting scroll guides oil from a space between a frame and the orbiting scroll to a space between a fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll, and an oil supply groove formed at the fixed scroll maintains communication with the oil supply hole, thereby rapidly supplying oil to a bearing surface between the fixed scroll and the orbiting scroll before the oil is introduced into a back pressure chamber. This enhances compressor efficiency by effectively preventing frictional losses and refrigerant leakage in such a compressor, and enhances energy efficiency for a refrigerating machine using such a compressor.

A hermetic compressor is provided, including a casing, having a suction pipe and discharge pipe connected thereto, a driving motor installed within the casing, a compressing device installed within the casing and operated by the driving motor to form compression chambers, an oil separator that separates oil from a refrigerant discharged from by compressing device, and an oil collecting pipe through which the oil separator communicates with the compression chambers. A discharge valve system of a scroll compressor comprises: a fixed scroll having a discharge hole and discharge bypass holes; a discharge valve assembly mounted at the fixed scroll, for opening and closing the discharge hole by a pressure difference; and an integral bypass valve assembly mounted at the fixed scroll, for opening and closing the bypass holes and interworking the discharge valve assembly. According to this, a discharge amount of gas is maximized in a low pressure ration driving of the scroll compressor thereby to enhance a discharge efficiency. Also, the number of components is greatly reduced thus to reduce a fabrication cost. Also, the number of assembly processes is greatly reduced thereby to enhance an assembly productivity.

An oil feeding propeller of a scroll compressor for preventing deterioration of oil feeding generated when a rotation shaft is rotated in reverse is disclosed. The propeller is tightly fitted into the lower side of the oil passage of the rotation shaft, sucks oil into the shell due to rotation shaft of shaft to raise oil to a compression part of the scroll compressor. The propeller includes a plate without operative direction for feeding oil in a predetermined direction so as to raise a predetermined quantity of oil regardless of the rotation direction shaft.

An apparatus for varying the capacity in a scroll compressor, the apparatus having an orbiting scroll provided with a wrap filling portion which is stepped at a certain height, extending the entire inside of a wrap from an outer end portion of the wrap; a fixed scroll provided with a stepped wrap obtained by stepping a wrap corresponding to the wrap filling portion of the orbiting scroll and being in meshing arrangement with the orbiting scroll; a connection passage for connecting compression pockets formed by the outer wrap portion of the orbiting scroll and the inside of the wrap of the fixed scroll opposed to the outside of the outer wrap portion with the suction opening; and an opening/closing unit for opening or closing the connection passage such that the suction opening side and the compression pockets can be connected and disconnected to each other.

Apparatus for varying capacity in scroll compressor

Disclosed herein is a fixed scroll of a scroll compressor capable of preventing gaseous refrigerant, that is heated in the compressor or contains a large amount of oil scatted in a compression unit, from being introduced into a compression chamber. The fixed scroll includes an open involuted wrap provided at a lower surface thereof, a compression chamber defined in the wrap, a plurality of mounting legs formed at a lower surface of a flange portion around the wrap, and an interceptive guiding portion configured to guide suctioned gaseous refrigerant, introduced to the lower surface of the flange portion, to a tip end of the wrap while preventing the gaseous refrigerant from being circulated between the mounting legs underneath the lower surface of the flange portion, thereby allowing the refrigerant to be introduced into the compression chamber.

Disclosed is a step-type capacity varying apparatus of a scroll compressor comprising: an orbiting scroll having a first filling portion step-formed with a constant height from an outer end portion of a wrap towards an inner side of the wrap, and a second filling portion extendingly formed at the first filling portion with a certain length from the outer end of the wrap; a fixed scroll engaged with the orbiting scroll by being provided with a stepped low wrap corresponding to the first filling portion and the second filling portion of the orbiting scroll; and an opening/closing unit for opening and closing a passage formed by the second filling portion of the orbiting scroll and the stepped low wrap of the fixed scroll. According to this, a fabrication cost is lowered, a capacity variation width is greatly increased, and an operation is facilitated.

Step-type capacity varying apparatus of scroll compressor

A scroll compressor is disclosed. In the scroll compressor, a first compression chamber is formed between an orbiting scroll and a fixed scroll, and a second compression chamber is additionally formed between the orbiting scroll and the main frame. Accordingly, when the orbiting scroll orbits, a refrigerant gas is compressed in both compression chambers at the same time, so that the scroll compressor can have a capacity greater than those of other compressors having the same size.

A scroll compressor includes: a frame fixedly installed in the casing to support a rotary shaft of the driving motor and having a second suction opening at its one side and a second discharge opening at its other side; a fixed scroll fixedly installed at the frame and having a first suction opening at its edgemost and a first discharge opening at its central portion; an orbiting scroll forming a first compression chamber by being engaged with the fixed scroll; a self-rotation preventing member interposed between the frame and the orbiting scroll for preventing a self-rotation of the orbiting scroll; and a vane making a linear movement in a radial direction of the frame according to an orbiting movement of the orbiting scroll, and forming between the frame and the orbiting scroll a second compression chamber including a spaces where the second suction and discharge opening exists.

An eccentric coupling device in a radial compliance scroll compressor includes a crank pin that is eccentrically arranged at an upper end of a crankshaft and provided with a vertically-extending flat surface at one side thereof. A bush is provided with a crank pin hole, overlapped by a stopper hole, for receiving the crank pin. A stopper is fitted in the stopper hole such that the stopper radially protrudes into the crank pin hole toward the flat surface to selectively come into contact with the flat surface in accordance with a rotation of the bush. An elevating preventing device is adapted to elastically support the bush, while connecting the stopper and the crank pin via a spring wire, preventing an elevation of the bush.
