An electrical raceway assembly for use with a structure is provided. The elongated raceway is engageable to the structure and has a length, a transverse base and a pair of opposite upstanding sidewalls extending along the length to define at least one channel configured for retaining electrical wires. A locking element secures and detachably engages the raceway to a surface of the structure. In one embodiment, the locking element includes a mounting plate, a stud, a core, and a locking lever. The stud has a threaded first end, an opposite second end, and a shoulder between the first and second end. The threaded first end is insertable through an opening defined in the mounting plate to engage a threaded hole in the surface of the structure. The core has a rounded outer surface and defines a thru-hole for receiving the second end of the stud. The locking lever includes a handle portion and a rounded camming portion. The camming portion defines a chamber for rotatably housing the core and a wall defining a groove in communication with the chamber for receiving the second end of the stud. The wall defines a contoured camming surface surrounding one end of the groove. The locking lever is rotatable about the second axis of the core from a first released position to a second locked position with the camming surface bearing against the mounting plate to securely engage the raceway to the structure.

Electrical raceway assembly

An electrical raceway assembly for use with a table-top structure. The raceway assembly includes an elongated raceway and a locking element. The locking element includes a first end detachably engaged to the raceway, and an opposite second end having a locking lever movable between a locked position for quickly engaging the raceway to the structure and a released position for quickly releasing the raceway from the structure. The elongated raceway has a length, a transverse base and a pair of opposite upstanding sidewalls extending along the length to define at least one open channel configured for retaining electrical wires. The raceway is engageable to the table-top structure in either a first position, wherein the raceway extends above the upper surface, or a second position, wherein the raceway extends beneath the lower surface. The raceway is further engageable in either a forward facing orientation or a reversed orientation.

An electrical raceway assembly for use with a structure. The assembly includes an elongated raceway and decorative plates engageable to an elongate tongue and groove along the length of the raceway. The plates include at least one elongate rib extending along the length of the plate. The rib includes a projection receivable within the groove in cooperative interlocking engagement. In a specific embodiment, a second tongue and groove is adjacent the first tongue and groove and is contiguous with the first groove to form a substantially C-shaped cross-section. In other embodiments, the rib includes a second projection extending oppositely from the first projection so that the rib has a T-shaped cross-section.

A system to be utilized on a horizontal surface for providing visual privacy is disclosed. A plurality of base units each having a retractable panel are positioned at desired locations on the surface to define a plurality of intervals. Selected retractable panels can be drawn across selected intervals to form a desired grid system. The base units can be utilized in conjunction with an existing open plan furniture arrangement to provide additional visual privacy or workstations. In specific embodiments of the invention, the location at which the retractable panel is secured to a vertical panel is vertically adjustable, a uniform attachment between differing thicknesses of the flexible material of a retractable panel is maintained and the tension of spring loaded roller upon which the material is coiled is adjustable. The housing containing a retractable panel as well as the corresponding jamb member can be magnetically attached to vertical surfaces defined in an open plan furniture arrangement. Locking means is provided to allow a retractable panel to be locked in a closed position after it has been secured in that position.

Visual privacy system for open plan furniture arrangements

A modular tray system comprising a tray portion releasably fastenable to support members for supporting the tray which communicate with attachment means for attaching, preferably releasably attaching, the support members to transport means for transporting the tray. The modular tray system of the present invention may be advantageously utilized in a commercial process for producing bakery products from dough.

An electrical system for use with interconnected or ganged furniture includes electrical receptacles for each article of furniture and a plurality of electrical cables for connecting the receptacles. The receptacles and cables have specifically coded terminal groups and connector terminal groups that prevent interconnection of more than a specific allotted number of receptacles. An initial receptacle includes a substantially permanent power cord for plugging into a conventional wall socket. A last receptacle has only an input terminal group and a blank output. Intermediate receptacles are provided so that the total electrical system is limited to twelve sockets among the first, last and intermediate receptacles. In one embodiment, five terminal groups are provided. The receptacles are configured so that the input and output terminal groups for the receptacle are different. In this embodiment, only three electrical cable configurations are required, two having different mating terminal groups the mating ends and one having the same terminal groups at its ends.

Electrical system for use with ganged furniture

An extendable/retractable temporary electrical receptacle assembly 10 is provided for mounting within an opening formed in the work surface S of an article of furniture, such as a table T. The receptacle assembly 10 includes a bezel 11 that is mounted by use of resilient locking tabs within the opening and a hollow receptacle formed from an upper portion 12 joined to a lower portion 3. The upper portion 12 carries an array of electrical/data sockets 21, 22 that are accessible above the work surface S when the receptacle assembly 10 is in an extended position. In a retracted position, the upper portion 12 is wholly contained within the bezel 11 to hide the array of sockets 21, 22. A pair of compression springs 55 is disposed within spring channels 52, 53 formed in the upper and lower portions of the receptacle. The springs 55 are bottomed on tabs 38 projecting inwardly from the bezel 11 and into the spring channels 52 in the receptacle. The bezel 11 also includes four evenly disposed inwardly projecting tabs 36 that are contacted by the receptacle at the retracted position to prevent over-depression of the assembly 10. The receptacle is provided with strain relief members 70 disposed in the cord openings in the lower portion 13 of the receptacle and engaged about cords providing power/signals to the sockets 21, 22 carried by the receptacle. The strain relief members 70 include outwardly projecting flaps 80 that contact the lower rim 37 of the bezel 11 to limit the upward travel of the receptacle in its extended position.

An improved switch for bilge and sump pumps which allows a manual override switch to be connected in the positive side of the power supply and which uses a reed switch actuated Darlington type circuit both of which are protected from reversed polarity connection by a current limiting resistor which is buffered with the protective resistor.

Switch for bilge and sump/pump with automatic float control

An automatic control for a liquid pump which assures that the pump starts when the liquid reaches a predetermined level and that the pump is stopped when the level has fallen to a second predetermined level. The control includes a permanent magnet mounted in a float which is contained within a float chamber and which has a bottom opening through which liquid can enter the float chamber. A top portion of the float chamber is provided with a one-way valve which allows air to escape from the float chamber but which prevents air from entering the float chamber so that when the float moves up with the liquid, the magnet actuates a magnetic responsive switch such as a reed switch to cause the motor to drive the pump. As the pump lowers the level of the liquid, the level of the liquid in the float chamber does not fall because of the partial vacuum within the top of the float chamber and the magnetic holds the switch closed so as to maintain energization of the pump. When the liquid falls to the bottom of the float chamber, air passes into the top of the chamber and allows the retained liquid to flow, and the float moves downwardly moving the magnet away from the magnetic responsive switch so that it opens and the pump motor stops. The float chamber and the magnetic responsive switch are remotely located from the pump.

Automatic float control switch for a bilge and sump pump

A removable cartridge-type pump for live well bait tanks in sport fishing boats wherein a motor impeller unit can be rapidly inserted and removed from a housing to which an input pipe is connected so as to clean the impeller and pump cavity and/or replace it with the different unit. An O-ring seal between the housing and the impeller unit serves as a liquid seal and also as a spring bias between the units. Either a bayonet connection or a screw connection may be made between the units and locking sears are provided so as to positively lock the units together.

Removable cartridge-type pump for live well bait tanks in sport fishing

A file folder conveyor which comprises a rotatable spiral mounted in a base that has opposite ends and has a back wall which extends higher than the front wall such that as the spiral is rotated, files can be moved which rest in the spiral and extend out of the front of the base so that they can be easily removed by a user. The spiral may be driven manually or by a motor means.

An automatic control for a liquid pump which assures that the pump starts pumping when the liquid reaches a predetermined level and the pump is stopped when the level has fallen to a second predetermined level. The control includes a permanent magnet mounted in a float that is contained within a float chamber and which has a bottom opening through which the liquid can enter the float chamber. Automatic control for bilge & sump pump

A system for providing temporary visual privacy across an interval in a modular open plan furniture arrangement. A horizontally retractable panel is situated at one side of the interval. The retractable panel is provided with means for drawing the panel closed across the interval, and is also provided with means for securing the panel in the closed position. In the preferred form of the invention, the panel comprises a flexible material coiled about a vertically oriented, spring loaded roller lodged within a housing.

Visual privacy system for open plan furniture arrangement

An enclosed sanitizing cabinet for exposing eyewear articles to ultraviolet radiation from a fluorescent ultraviolet lamp which preferably extends substantially the entire height of the cabinet. The cabinet contains shelf-forming rod members spaced and configured to support eyewear articles in such manner that the surfaces of said articles which contact a user's skin in use are exposed to ultraviolet radiation. Interior surfaces of the cabinet are of a nature and formed of materials so as to reflect ultraviolet radiation to all articles therein and to minimize the differential in radiation exposure between articles adjacent and more remote from the radiation source.
