An apparatus for producing a spun yarn comprising drafting units, delivery rollers and spinning devices disposed between the front rollers of each drafting unit and the corresponding delivery rollers. The spinning device guides a sliver drafter by the drafting unit along a substantially straight line and blows air against the running sliver so that some of the component fibers in the circumference of the sliver are fluffed out and caused to wind around the fibers forming the core of the sliver, and the circumferential speed of the delivery rollers is set to be equal to or higher than that of the front rollers.

Apparatus for producing spun yarn

An apparatus for producing a spun yarn comprises a rotary pipe having a sliver path for passing therethrough a sliver forwarded from a front roller of a draft device, a rotary plate formed in an integral relationsip at a location of the rotary pipe spaced from an entrance of the rotary pipe, and a casing for covering the rotary pipe and the rotary plate. The casing has a guide path formed therein for introducing and guiding a sliver from the front roller to the entrance of the rotary pipe and guide path has a dam member disposed therein for introducing a sliver of a substantially flattened configuration forwarded from the front roller.

Improvements in a cop supplying apparatus comprising a cop supplying truck which runs along individual winding units of an automatic winding machine and feeds cops into magazines of the winding units without stopping. The cop supplying truck is provided with a guide and a pair of rollers for positively feeding the yarn end which is arranged under a long hole for placing cops through so that the yarn end of the cop held on a cop container is positively taken off from the cop container.

Cop supplying apparatus for automatic winding machine

A cop supplying truck which runs along the individual winding units of an automatic winding machine is provided. The cop supplying truck travels while storing the cops accomodated in an individual cylindrical cop container and feeds the cops into a magazine of a winding unit without stopping at the individual winding units. The cop supplying truck is provided with a hole through which the cop falls onto the magazine. The cops are travelled and fed by means of a first conveyer device which works to successively convey the cop containers toward the falling hole, a device which takes one of the cop container while the cop supplying truck passes over the empty magazine, and a second conveyer device which so works that a cop in the taken-out cop container is only allowed to fall into the magazine through the falling hole.
