An implant for occluding a left atrial appendage may include an expandable framework configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The expandable framework includes a proximal hub and a distal hub. A longitudinal axis of the expandable framework extends from the proximal hub to the distal hub. A radiopaque marker may be positioned longitudinally between the proximal hub and the distal hub in the expanded configuration.

An occlusive implant system may include a catheter having a lumen extending therethrough, a core wire slidably and rotatably disposed within the lumen, the core wire having a threaded member disposed at a distal end, and a medical implant having an expandable frame, an occlusive element disposed on the frame, and a threaded insert coupled to a proximal portion of the frame, wherein the threaded member is removably coupled to the threaded insert.

Retrieval wire centering device

An implant includes a frame comprising a tubular body formed by a plurality of interconnected struts that are manufactured to reduce stresses and strains resulting from component interaction during chronic use. At least a portion of a longitudinal corner of one or more struts of the frame may be chamfered, rounded, or otherwise modified to distribute stresses experienced at the strut corner throughout the strut body. Chamfering and/or rounding corners along at least a portion of a strut of the frame may reduce stresses on the frame caused by interactions between the frame and other components of the implant. The implant may be manufactured by cutting (e.g., laser cutting) a plurality of struts from a tubular metal alloy, polymer, or the like forming the tubular body, and softening at least a portion of an edge of the strut by cutting, grinding, and/or micro-blasting the edges of the corner.

Implantable device having rounded struts and method of manufacture

An occlusive medical implant having a frame actuatable between a collapsed delivery configuration and an expanded implanted configuration, the frame including a generally tubular portion with a threaded insert configured to removably attach to a threaded distal end of a core wire; an occlusive element disposed on the frame; where a proximal portion of the occlusive element and the proximalmost extent of the threaded insert are substantially coplanar with a plane defined by three or more proximalmost extents of the frame in the expanded implanted configuration.

Occlusive medical implant

This disclosure is directed primarily to a stent for use in the trachea. The stent has a nominally deployed state, an axially extended state and an axially compressed state. The stent has a length. In the axially extended state, the length is at least 20% greater than in the nominally deployed state.

Stent with deflecting connector

An endoprosthesis, such as a stent, having anti-migration features. The endoprosthesis includes an expandable tubular framework including a plurality of strut rows and a plurality of connectors extending across interstices between adjacent strut rows and interconnecting adjacent strut rows. The strut rows have an outer diameter in an expanded state and the connectors extend radially outward beyond the outer diameter of the strut rows in the expanded state. The connectors are configured to engage a wall of a body lumen in the expanded state to inhibit migration of the endoprosthesis in the body lumen. The endoprosthesis may include a polymeric cover covering the strut rows and spanning the interstices between adjacent strut rows, while a space between the connectors and the strut rows to which the connectors are interconnected with is devoid of the polymeric cover to permit tissue ingrowth around the connectors.

A stent has a first end region, a middle region, and a second end region, each region including a plurality of strut columns. The stent includes at least one barb. Each barb in an expanded state is at an angle relative to the outer surface of the stent.

Implantable medical devices and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. An example implantable medical device may include a stent having a first configuration and a second expanded configuration. The stent may define a plurality of nodes. The stent may have a cover member disposed adjacent the nodes. The cover member may be configured to cover at least some of the nodes when the stent is in the expanded configuration.

In one embodiment of the invention, a stent may be provided comprising a first undulating band having alternating peaks and troughs, a second undulating band having alternating peaks and troughs, a first substantially longitudinal connector extending between the first and second undulating bands and a second very short connector extending between the first and second undulating bands, the first connector substantially longer than the second very short connector.
