A print bar for inkjet printing includes print heads disposed in a row, adjustment devices for adjusting the print heads relative to one another in which each of the adjustment devices includes at least one screw and at least one shaft for rotating the at least one screw, and a compensation coupling interconnecting the screw and the shaft. The compensation coupling includes a first coupling half and a second coupling half configured to fit together under elastic deformation. The first coupling half includes spring claws having a first pitch and the first coupling half is disposed on the shaft. The second coupling half including a toothing having a second pitch and the second coupling half is disposed on the screw. The first and second pitches differ from one another.

A print bar for inkjet printing includes a crossbar carrier, a row of head mounts carried by the crossbar carrier, and print heads held by the head mounts. Every head mount has lateral guide profiles for linearly guiding the head mounts. The guide profiles of respective adjacent or neighboring head mounts engage in one another.

A mounting device for a print head and a printing system allows print heads to be easily changed and easily and reliably adjusted. The mounting device includes a rigid mount and a frame for receiving a print head. The frame is releasably fixed to the rigid mount and includes an adjustment device for adjusting the print head relative to the rigid mount. The adjustment device of the frame includes two solid body joints and two actuators for adjusting the print head in two degrees of freedom, namely in a sliding movement along the rigid mount and a rotary movement about the vertical axis.

A sheet-transporting element includes suction openings for holding print sheets, longitudinal sliders including air passages, and transverse sliders including air passages. The longitudinal sliders and the transverse sliders are disposed in a cross-wise configuration and are movable into different positions corresponding to various sheet formats in the positions blocking selected ones of the suction openings.

A digital printing machine includes a printing material transport device, an inkjet print head having a nozzle plate, and a capping element. The inkjet print head is adjustable into a first print head position relative to the capping element and the capping element is adjustable into a capping position relative to the inkjet print head. The capping element temporarily covers the nozzle plate when the inkjet print head is in the first print head position and the capping element is simultaneously in the capping position.

Digital printing machine

A digital printing machine includes a printing bar for inkjet printing. The printing bar is mounted to be movable into a working position and into a retracted position. An adjustable roll and a spring-mounted roll form a first assembly and are disposed opposite one another. A rail forms a second assembly and is located between the adjustable roll and the spring-mounted roll when the printing bar is in the working position and is not located between the adjustable roll and the spring-mounted roll when the printing bar is in the retracted position. One of the two assemblies is disposed on the printing bar and the other of the two assemblies is separate from the printing bar.

A method for avoiding collisions in a digital inkjet printing machine, a method and a device for actuator-based lifting movement of inkjet heads. A sensor/camera monitors the sheets as they travel towards the inkjet heads. In order to avoid collisions, the inkjet heads are raised and lowered again individually and in an oscillation-optimized manner when a defective sheet is detected. The machine does not need to be stopped in the event of defective sheets. Advantageously, rejects can thus be reduced and the performance of the machine can be exploited better.

A method for feeding sheets to a printing technology machine improves reliability of feeding sheets and reduces an acceleration time from a base speed to a production speed. The sheets are conveyed onto a feed table in shingled formation by a first drive and are individually and successively conveyed from the feed table to a first processing station of the machine by a second drive. The sheets are conveyed onto the feed table before an acceleration of the second drive to production speed is completed and the first drive is accelerated to the production speed when the processing station has reached the production speed.
