The invention relates to a fuel delivery unit for use in fuel tanks of vehicles, having a pump with a housing (,) and at least one outlet opening (,) arranged laterally thereon, having a reservoir (,) which can be filled with fuel and into which the pump can be inserted with little lateral installation space and from whose filling volume fuel is delivered to the outlet opening (,), and a line (,), in particular a rising line, which can be connected to the outlet opening (,), wherein at least the one line (,) can be connected to the outlet opening (,) by means of a releasable, pressure-sealed plug-in connection (S), it being possible for the outlet flow to be deflected in the region of the plug-in connection (S) by means of an elbow (,).

Fuel delivery unit having a line connection

A plastic closure cap (1) produced by injection molding for a fuel tank of a motor vehicle is provided, within the region of fuel lines which extend through it, with bushings (6, 7) of a temperature-resistant material of low thermal conductivity. Polyphenylene sulfide containing a proportion of mineral and/or of glass fibers or polyacetate reinforced with glass fibers is suitable for instance as material for the bushings (6, 7).

A holding flange (5) is detachably connected on its bottom to a coupling part (7) within a fuel chamber (2). A flexible hose (8) leading to a sucking-jet pump (9) and a spring action arm (10) for holding the sucking-jet pump (9) down on the bottom of the fuel chamber (2) are fastened to said coupling part (7). For mounting and removal, the coupling part (7) can be separated from the holding flange (5) together with the structural parts fastened to it.
