A piezo actuator for carrying out an actuating movement is disclosed, with a piezo bending transducer made of a carrier layer which is at least partially covered on one or two sides with a piezo lamella, with a movable end and with a housing, with a reference stop connected to the housing for determining a reference position for the actuating movement, with a first bearing region which comprises regions of the piezo actuator and the housing and which allows for twists ϕ1 of the piezo bending transducer, with a second bearing region having a surface on the side of the bending transducer and a surface on the side of the housing, and an intermediate layer between the surfaces, which connects them and which can be liquefied, and with a pressure element for generating a bias torque on the piezo bending transducer around the first bearing region against the reference stop.

Provided is a method of coating at least an area of a surface by a Drop-on-Demand (DOD) method, comprising the steps of providing a DOD dispensing head () with at least two individually controllable nozzles () arranged in a row, which is moved by a robotic device, applying a movement to the DOD dispensing head parallel while maintaining a distance between the nozzles () and the surface, wherein the movement comprises a rotation of the dispensing head around an axis perpendicular to the surface, dispensing discrete amounts of a the liquid coating material through the at least one nozzle onto the surface, wherein firing of the at least 2 nozzles is triggered non-synchronously by a control unit.

Multichannel multinozzle printhead

The invention relates to a method for applying paints or varnishes with the aid of an application device in order to apply a color design on surfaces of buildings or public or civil engineering works in accordance with a previously executed implementation of a digital image model in a previously recorded digital surface object that represents the surface of the object. According to the invention, the application device moves on the surface of the object while contacting the surface thereof, the position of the application device is continuously measured or calculated using motion sensors and paint is applied in accordance with said implementation depending on the position thus determined. Application of paint by the application device is automatically stopped if the position of the application device with respect to a predefined position error acceptance threshold cannot be determined in a sufficiently accurate manner or if the corresponding paint or varnish has been fully applied in the position of the paint applying elements.

Method for applying paints and varnishes

The invention relates to a fingerprint recognition module comprising a substrate consisting of a material that is electrically insulating at least on its upper side and at least partially thermally insulating. Said substrate receives a composite of structured thin films on its surface, which directly forms a measuring field on the surface of the substrate for measuring a fingerprint. Said composite consists of an array of resistive, temperature-dependent elements, and contains strip conductors which connect the resistive, temperature-dependent elements to at least one connection field located on the substrate, outside the measuring field, and form part of the composite of structured thin films. The substrate also contains at least one microelectronic switching circuit which is electrically connected to the at least one connection field and contains the switching circuits by which means the thin film structures are controlled in order to heat the resistive, temperature-sensitive elements, the resistive, temperature-sensitive elements are read out, and the data is retransmitted.
