A bearing assembly includes a bearing support having at least one bearing and at least one receptacle for at least one outer ring of the at least one bearing. The outer ring of the bearing has at least one annular groove, into which a snap ring is inserted relative to the bearing support in order to axially fix the outer ring. At least one alignment element is disposed on or in the bearing support. The snap ring is retained by alignment element relative to the bearing support at a defined angle relative to the rotational axis of the bearing.

Bearing arrangement

A bearing cage for a rolling-element bearing includes first and second axially spaced-apart side rings extending in a circumferential direction, each side ring being split in the circumferential direction along a line of separation, thereby defining mutually-opposing bordering surfaces on first and second bearing cage sections. A first projection and a corresponding first opening are disposed on or in the mutually-opposing bordering surfaces of the first and second bearing cage sections. The first projection is insertable into the first opening in the circumferential direction to fix the bearing cage sections in at least a first direction. A second projection and a corresponding second opening are disposed on or in radially-extending, mutually-opposing bordering surfaces of the first projection and first opening. The second projection and second opening fix the bearing cage sections to each other in at least two additional directions, which are each perpendicular to the first direction.

Split bearing cage for rolling element bearing

A bearing assembly comprises at least one bearing that includes at least one outer ring having a recess at at least one circumferential position. A bearing support has at least one receptacle that receives the at least one outer ring. At least one engagement element is disposed on or in the bearing support and engages in the recess in an interference-fit manner to prevent the rotation of the outer ring relative to the bearing support.

A bearing support is configured to retain at least two bearings disposed closely adjacent to each other in a parallel relationship. Each bearing includes a bearing outer ring having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface. The bearing support comprises at least first and second portions that are connected together. The first portion is formed as a component that has cylindrical openings configured to receive or seat the respective bearing outer rings and to surround the entire circumference of the respective bearing outer ring. The second portion is formed as a support plate. A bearing assembly includes the bearing support with a bearing seated in each of the respective cylindrical openings.

Bearing support

A bearing assembly comprises at least two adjacently-disposed bearings. Each bearing includes a bearing outer ring having a cylindrical outer circumferential surface. A bearing support retains the at least two bearings such that respective rotational axes of the at least two bearings extend in parallel. A spacer has at least two cylindrical openings configured to receive the respective cylindrical outer circumferential surfaces of the bearing outer rings such that a circumferential inner surface of each opening covers at least a portion of a width of the bearing outer ring received therein and surrounds an entire circumference of the bearing outer ring received therein. The bearing support is not fixedly connected to the spacer.

A method for fixing at least one bearing in place in a bearing retainer involves positioning the bearing in the depression, providing an elastic element which acts in the axial direction on the bearing either before or after the bearing is positioned in the depression so that the elastic element is supported on the bearing in a first axial direction, and deforming a partial area of the bearing retainer so that the deformed partial area of the bearing retainer supports the elastic element in a second axial direction which extends opposite the first axial direction. A bearing arrangement produced according to the present invention includes a bearing retainer having at least one depression in which is positioned a bearing, with a portion of the bearing retainer overlapping a portion of the bearing to form an interlocking connection between the bearing retainer and the bearing in an axial direction. An elastic element is arranged in an area of the overlap of the bearing and the bearing retainer, and is supported on the bearing in a first axial direction while being supported on the bearing retainer in a second axial direction opposite to the first axial direction.

Bearing arrangement and method for fixing at least one bearing in place in a bearing retainer

A method for fixing at least one bearing in a depression of a bearing retainer involves deforming a portion of the bearing retainer to cause a portion of the bearing retainer to form an overlapping connection of the bearing which axially retains the bearing in the depression. In the first stage of the two-stage deformation process, a first partial area of the bearing retainer is deformed compress the material forming the bearing retainer. In the second stage of the deformation process, a second partial area of the bearing retainer is deformed to form the overlapping connection, in the axial direction, between the bearing and the bearing retainer.

A method for securing at least one bearing in a bearing plate provided with an indentation or recessed region for receiving a bearing involves partially swaging at least one positioning face on the bearing plate for accurately or precisely positioning a retaining baffle, positioning the retaining baffle against the at least one swaged positioning face, and materially bonding the retaining baffle to the bearing plate so that the retaining baffle exerts an axial force on a part of the bearing during operation of the bearing. A bearing arrangement includes a bearing plate provided with at least one indentation and at least one partially swaged positioning face, a bearing disposed in the at least one indentation, and a retaining baffle pressed against the positioning face of the bearing plate. The retaining baffle is materially bonded to the bearing plate and is positioned such that the retaining baffle exerts an axial force on a part of the bearing during operation of the bearing.

Method for securing a bearing in a bearing plate and bearing arrangement

A bearing plate formed from sheet metal to hold at least two rolling bearings in closely adjoining relation includes a pair of seat surfaces between which is located a ridge. The ridge is positioned in the area of the narrowest point between the outside rings of the rolling bearings and is pulled from the seat surfaces generally in the axial direction. The ridge axially increases in width with curved transition areas that merge with the seat surfaces.

Bearing plate

A bearing arrangement is equipped with a radial bearing and with a roller bearing which acts purely in the axial direction. Rollers of axial bearing have a needle-like, barrel-like design. Bearing rings are provided with the corresponding profiles. When axial play develops in the bearing arrangement, rollers shift radially under the effect of gravity in one case and under the effect of centrifugal force in the other with the effect of eliminating the axial play.
