A temperature control assembly controls the temperature of parts of a printing machine. A plurality of assembly-side sub-circuits, the temperature of which is to be individually controlled, each comprises a temperature control fluid outlet and a temperature control fluid inlet. An external temperature control sub-circuit, can be connected to each assembly-side sub-circuit to form a respective temperature control circuit. The assembly-side sub-circuits are coupled to a common feed line, which conducts temperature control fluid, in a thermal and/or fluidic manner on the feed side to control the temperature of the assembly-side sub-circuits and to a common return line on the return side. The feed line is connected to a fluid store, which provides temperature control fluid to supply the feed line. The temperature control assembly comprises the common feed line, the fluid store, and an assembly which controls the temperature of the temperature control fluid of the fluid store.

A web offset press includes several printing units through which a web passes essentially in a horizontal direction. The printed web then passes to at least one first folding unit. Each of the printing units has at least one plate cylinder and one transfer cylinder which interacts with the web being printed. An effective plate width of the plate cylinder corresponds to the print image of at least eight upright or prone printed pages in a BIN 4A format. The printed web is slit longitudinally into a plurality of web strands: A first number of these web strands are supplied to the first folding apparatus. At the same time, a second number of web strands, produced by the slitting of the same web, are supplied to a second folding apparatus for further processing.

A printing press has at least one first printing tower with at least one first printing unit that has several offset printing couples which are usable to print on one or on both sides of a first web which runs through the first printing unit substantially from the bottom to the top. The web is printed in multiple colors in the first printing tower. A dryer is arranged downstream of the first printing unit and along the conveying path of the first web. A former structure, with at least one former through which the web runs, is located downstream of the dryer. At least one nipping roller is located downstream of the dryer and upstream of the former. A spreading device is provided between the dryer and the at least one nipping roller that is located upstream of the former and along the conveying path of the first web.

Printing press, methods for using the printing press, and methods for handling a web guided through a printing press

A superstructure of a printing press includes a turning tower with at least one turner bar that is usable to deflect a web section from a transport direction by 90&#xb0;. A second turner bar, that is shorter than the first turner bar, is also used to deflect a web section from the transport direction by 90&#xb0; in the same direction as the first web section. These first and second turner bars are offset vertically in relation to one another in the same turning tower. The first turner bar is supported at both ends on at least one first lateral support and at least one second lateral support. The second turner bar is supported only on one end on the lateral support in a floating manner. The second support side of the second turner bar is provided with access from that support side into the interior of the turning tower.

A printing system is provided with a first printing machine that includes at least one printing unit and a first folding funnel which is located at an exit of the printing unit. A second printing machine, with a second printing unit and a drier, together with a folding funnel at its exit, is also part of the printing system. The first and second folding funnels differ from each other in the number of formers that are placed next to each other in a machine plane, or vary in an effective width of one or more folders. A web, or a partial web, which is printed by the second printing unit, and which is guided through the drier, can be guided either to the second folding funnel structure, or can be guided to the first folding funnel structure, which differs from the second funnel structure in at least one of numbers and width.

A cut-off register controller is usable in a longitudinal fold forming assembly of a rotary cylinder printing press that is provided with at least one form folding assembly plane which consists of two adjacently defined longitudinal fold formers. The web ribbon or the partial web ribbons, which are longitudinally formed and folded by the formers are collated at an exit of the former assembly by the operation of a roller pair and are formed into a combined ribbon. That combined ribbon is then fed into a folding apparatus. A number of control circuits are located downstream of the formers and corresponding, in number, to at least the number of formers. The control circuits are usable for controlling the cut-off register of the printed web. Each control circuit has at least one detector and one adjusting member which is usable to adjust the distance between the web or stand and the former.

A printing system includes a first printing machine that is provided in the form of a newspaper printing machine and which comprises at least two first printing units that are provided in the form of printing towers and with a number of printing machines arranged one above the other for effecting double-sided printing of a substrate in multiple colors. A first folding funnel is arranged in a machine exit of these first printing units. A second printing machine is provided with at least one second printing unit and with a dryer that is situated in the machine exit of the second printing unit. The at least one second printing unit is positioned with respect to its printing location, and when viewed from above, is arranged next to the machine exit of the first printing units provided in the form of printing towers. A web, or a partial web, which has been printed by the second printing unit, and which has passed through the dryer, can be diverted by 90&#xb0; from a direction of conveyance that is perpendicular to a machine exit and can be guided in a direction of conveyance that is parallel to the machine exit.

A printing machine system includes a first printing machine which is configured as a newspaper printing machine and which has at least two first printing units that are structured as printing towers, each with a plurality of superimposed printing groups that are usable for multicolor printing. The first printing machine also includes a first folder structure which is arranged in a machine alignment of the at least two first printing units. A second printing machine has at least one second printing unit and a second folder structure. The first printing units and the at least one second printing unit are arranged in one row. The first printing units, which are configured as printing towers, differ from the at least one second printing unit in at least one of their effective printing length and a circumference of imaging printing group cylinders.

A printing machine system includes a first printing machine which has at least one first printing unit and a first fold forming funnel and that is arranged in the machine alignment of the at least first printing unit. A second printing machine, which has at least one second printing unit, and a second fold forming funnel, is also provided in the printing machine system. The second fold forming funnel is in machine alignment with the at least one second printing unit. The printing group cylinders of the first and second printing units are positioned substantially orthogonally in relationship to each other in their axial directions. The two fold forming funnel structures are positioned substantially orthogonally in respect to each other in a line running in a direction of material web transport as projected onto a horizontal plane.

A page of a printed product having a plurality of information fields arranged in different printed columns is provided. At least one perforated line, extending parallel to the height of the page, is generated in the page between at least two printed columns. The at least one perforated line is formed over the entire height of the page. At least one printed column, along with its at least one information field, can be completely separated from the remaining part of the page via a separation process to be performed along a single such perforated line. The perforated line to be used to execute the separation process extends through a pictogram that is situated along both sides of this perforated line. The pictogram visualizes the position of this perforated line. A longitudinal perforation device for a web-fed rotary printing press can be used to produce this page and has at least one perforating blade for generating the perforated line. The longitudinal perforation device is configured as an autonomous module. That module can be used in different places in the same web-fed rotary printing press or at different times in different web-fed rotary printing presses.

A product section is produced in a printing machine that has at least one former. A web or a partial web of material is guided over the former. At least one web or one partial web is initially guided over a plow fold device and then over one, or another odd number of turning bars. This at least one web or partial web is then united, without passing through the former, and on a side that has been folded in by the plow fold device, over at least one guide roller as a partial strand with a partial strand that was guided over the former as a strand bundle before this partial strand is cut transversely in a transverse cutting direction into product sections.

A web-fed rotary printing press includes a printing unit which has a specific width for printing a web with six adjacent vertical printed pages in a first newspaper format. A longitudinal cutting device is used to divide the web into three partial webs, each of which having a width corresponding to two of the newspaper pages. A folding assembly includes a group of three fold formers which are located next to each other on a machine plane. The three formers are disposed in the web-fed rotary press in such a that the two distances between the folding planes of two of the formers, which are placed next to each other in pairs, can be modified.

An offset printing group is part of a printing machine which is used for printing newspapers. The offset printing group includes a printing cylinder and a transfer cylinder. The length of the transfer cylinder corresponds to at least six widths of newspaper pages. Two blankets are arranged adjacent each other on the peripheral surface of the transfer cylinder. A width of each of these blankets in the axial direction of the transfer cylinder corresponds to three widths of newspaper pages.
