A metal-oxygen cell capable of improving cycle performance is provided. The metal-oxygen cellincludes a positive electrodethat contains an oxygen storage material and uses oxygen as an active material, a negative electrodethat uses a metal as an active material, and an electrolyte layersandwiched between the positive electrodeand the negative electrodeand containing an electrolyte solution, effecting cell reactions of the positive electrodeon a surface of the oxygen storage material. The positive electrodecontains a conductive polymer that is capable of suppressing permeation of oxygen and conducting metal ions and covers at least a part of the surface of the oxygen storage material.

Metal-oxygen cell

Provided is a metal oxygen batteryincluding a positive electrodehaving oxygen as an active material, a negative electrodehaving metallic lithium as an active material, and an electrolyte layerinterposed between the positive electrodeand negative electrode. The positive electrodecontains oxygen storage material including mixed crystal of hexagonal composite metal oxide expressed by the general formula ABO(in which, A is one type of metal selected from a group of Y, Sc, La, Sr, Ba, Zr, Au, Ag, Pt, Pd, B is one type of metal selected from a group of Mn, Ti, Ru, Zr, Ni, Cr, and x=1, 1&#x2266;y&#x2266;2, 1&#x2266;z&#x2266;7, provided that a case where both A and B are Zr is excluded) and one or more non-hexagonal composite metal oxide expressed by the general formula ABO.

Metal oxygen battery and a method for manufacturing oxygen storage material used therein

There is provided a metal oxygen battery which is capable of obtaining superior batter capacity when starting use from charging. In the metal oxygen batteryincluding a positive electrode, which includes an oxygen-storing material and lithium oxide, and uses oxygen as an active substance, a negative electrodecapable of absorbing and discharging lithium ions, and an electrolyte layerinterposed between the positive electrodeand the negative electrode, in which the positive electrode, the negative electrode, and the electrolyte layerare hermetically accommodated in a case, the oxygen-storing material has an oxygen amount stored at a start of charge time diluted.

Metal oxygen battery

A case configuring a fuel cell system is divided into a module section, a first fluid supply section, a second fluid supply section, and an electric section. The electric section is provided with a first intake vent for intake of an oxidant gas from outside the case into the electric section. The second fluid supply section is provided with a second intake vent for intake of the oxidant gas subjected to intake from the first intake vent, into an oxidant gas supply device. The case is internally provided with first and second internal partitions which generate a bypass path for blocking straight flow of the oxidant gas from the first intake vent to the second intake vent.

Fuel cell system

A fuel cell module includes a fuel cell stack, a heat exchanger, an evaporator, a reformer, and a combustor for at least heating any of the fuel cell stack, the heat exchanger, the evaporator, and the reformer. The fuel cell module is surrounded by an inner heat insulating layer and an outer heat insulating layer. The inner heat insulating layer is used in a high temperature area, and the outer heat insulating layer is used in a low temperature area. The inner heat insulating layer contains a large amount of metal component in comparison with the outer heat insulating layer.

Fuel cell module

A fuel cell includes separators sandwiching electrolyte electrode assemblies. Each of the separators includes a fuel gas supply section, four first bridges extending radially outwardly from the fuel gas supply section, sandwiching sections connected to the first bridges, and flow rectifier members provided between adjacent sandwiching sections. A fuel gas supply passage extends through the center of the fuel gas supply section. Each of the sandwiching sections has a fuel gas channel and an oxygen-containing gas channel. The flow rectifier members rectify the flow of the oxygen-containing gas supplied from the oxygen-containing gas supply passage to the electrolyte electrode assemblies.
