An extension pole suitable for use in light bulb changing operations. The extension pole comprises first, second, and third telescopically intercoupled sections. A first locking assembly selectively locks the first and second sections to one another, and a second locking assembly selectively locks the second and third section to one another. The extension pole is made entirely of non-conductive materials to thereby reduce the risk of electrical shock to the operator.

A paint roller assembly is disclosed as including a handle that is configured for use with a variety of extension poles, each requiring a different type of connection with the handle. The handle includes a pole connector socket extending inwardly from one end thereof that is designed to receive a number of different pole connectors. The illustrated socket is provided with a tapered wall section and a circumferential groove, with the former being configured to provide a press fit attachment between the handle and connector and the latter being configured to provide a snap fit attachment between the handle and the connector. The illustrated handle is particularly designed to alternatively attach to a pole connector for use with the standard externally threaded pole, a unique connector configured specifically for use with pole having a unique push-button locking mechanism, and a tapered connector used with extension poles predominantly in Europe, although various other connectors adapted for press or snap fit attachment with the handle may be used.

An extendable light bulb changing apparatus comprising first, second, and third telescoping sections and a bulb-gripping device coupled to the third section. At least one of the sections is composed of a non-metallic material.

A brush bumper (10) is configured to attach to a perimeter ridge (18) of a brush (12). The brush bumper (10) includes a band (22) and a hang tab (24). The band (22) includes a substantially elastic wall (38), which presents an outer face (40), and defines a circumferentially extending channel (52). The hang tab (24), integrally formed with the band (22), includes a pair of opposed recesses (56,58) defining a hanging slot (54). The band (22) is coupled with the brush (12) by inserting the perimeter ridge (18) of the brush (12) into the channel (52).

An adjustable roller holder (10) that can be selectively adjusted to hold rollers of various lengths is disclosed. The adjustable roller holder includes a pair of spaced-apart roller-engaging arm assemblies (14) configured for holding a roller therebetween and a rack (58) and pinion-type (60) adjusting mechanism for selectively adjusting the distance between the arm assemblies for permitting the roller holder to hold rollers of different lengths.

A tool reach extension pole includes an inner slider tube 12 telescopically received in an open end of an outer handle tube 10 for relative longitudinal shifting movement. The slider tube 12 includes a radially extending hole within which a locking pin 48 is received, and the pin extends through a slot 22 formed in the handle tube 10. The pin 48 includes a head 50 having a width greater than that of the slot 22, and is received in a circumferentially extending eccentric slot of a locking grip 52 that is rotatable and longitudinally shiftable relative to the handle tube 10. By providing this construction, longitudinal shifting movement of the locking grip 52 relative to the handle tube 10 is transmitted to the slider tube 12 by the locking pin 48, and rotational movement of the locking grip relative to the handle tube shifts the locking pin within the slider tube hole between a locked position in which the handle tube 10 and slider tube 12 are locked against relative longitudinal shifting movement, and an unlocked position in which the handle tube and slider tube are longitudinally shiftable relative to one another.
