A method and system for identifying a source of a copied work that in one embodiment includes obtaining at least some portions of a reference work, collecting at least some portions of the suspect work, matching the suspect work with the reference work, wherein the matching includes temporally aligning one or more frames of the reference work and the suspect work, spatially aligning frames of the reference work and the suspect work, and detecting forensic marks in the suspect work by spatiotemporal matching with the reference work.

Systems and methods for monitoring system performance and availability

A system for setting WLAN node operating parameters includes at least one access point (AP) radio and a plurality of nodes in wireless communication with the AP radio according to media access control (MAC) parameters. Each of the plurality of nodes has a quality of service (QoS) threshold for wireless communication with the AP radio that is a function of the MAC parameters and includes a controller configured to provide individualized control of the MAC parameters. The controller is programmed to measure current settings for at least a portion of the MAC parameters for the node, input the current settings for those MAC parameters of the node into a WLAN system model to generate a system model output, and adapt a setting of at least one of the MAC parameters for the node to meet the QoS threshold for the node based on the system model output.

System and method for adjusting media access control parameters in a wireless network

A method of decoding is presented. The method includes the steps of receiving a coded bit stream that is encoded using a Non Return to Zero Inverted (NRZI) code and a 17 Parity Preserve/Prohibit (17PP) code, determining a 17PP modulated bit stream based upon the coded bit stream using a first selected decoding method, and generating a plurality of decisions by processing the 17PP modulated bit stream using a second selected decoding method, wherein the received coded bit stream comprises a plurality of coded bits, and the plurality of decisions are estimates of a plurality of source bits in a source information.

Methods and systems for decoding data

A method of decoding is presented. The method includes the steps of receiving a coded bit stream that is generated by encoding source information using a Non Return to Zero Inverted (NRZI) code, selecting an NRZI decoding method based on one or more parameters associated with noise in the received coded bit stream, and generating a plurality of decisions by processing the received coded bit stream using the selected NRZI decoding method, wherein the received coded bit stream comprises a plurality of coded bits, and the plurality of decisions are estimates of a plurality of source bits in the source information.

A method and apparatus that provides quality of service in wireless or sensor networks is disclosed. The method may include determining a class of service for transmission of one or more messages, adjusting a maximum packet length based on the determined class of service, allocating message time slots based on the determined class of service, setting a guard band size and frequency of resynchronization, and transmitting one or more messages using the adjusted maximum packet length, the allocated message time slots, and the set guard band size and frequency of resynchronization.
