Described is a fuser member including a substrate and a release layer disposed on the substrate. The release layer includes a fluoropolymer having a plurality of metal fibers having a diameter of from about 5 nanometers to about 20 microns dispersed throughout the fluoropolymer. A method of manufacturing the fuser member is also provided.

Surface layer and fuser member

Provided is composition for a liquid coating. The composition may include a silanol terminated copolymer, at least one cross-linker, and a catalyst. The silanol terminated copolymer may include from about 10 to about 25 mol % of a diphenylsiloxane repeat unit and greater than about 50 mol % of a dialkylsiloxane repeat unit. The at least one cross-linker may be one or more selected from: tetraethoxysilane (TEOS), a trialkoxysilane terminated polydialkylsiloxane and/or one or more of a trialkoxysilyl terminated polymer.

Polydiphenylsiloxane coating formulation and method for forming a coating

The present disclosure provides a transparent cross-linked siloxane composition. The composition is a polymerization product of a mixture of a difunctional alkoxysilane precursor materials and a monofunctional alkoxysilane material. The monofunctional alkoxysilane material is from about 1 weight percent to about 50 weight percent of the composition. The mole ratio of the monofunctional alkoxysilane materials to difunctional alkoxysilane precursor materials is from 1 to 4 to about 1 to 1.

Wear resistant transparent coating

A method of making a sacrificial coating composition is disclosed. The method comprises emulsifying an oil with surfactant and water to form an oil-in-water emulsion; and combining ingredients comprising (i) at least one polymer, (ii) at least one hygroscopic material, (iii) the oil-in water emulsion and (iv) water to produce the sacrificial coating composition. The at least one polymer is selected from the group consisting of a hydrophilic polymer, a latex comprising polymer particles dispersed in a continuous liquid phase, or mixtures thereof.

Provided is a method of patterning a substrate. The method includes depositing, in a first predetermined pattern, hydrophobic material on a first surface of a hydrophilic substrate. The method includes permeating the hydrophobic material through a thickness of the substrate. The method includes exposing the hydrophobic material to UV-light and sufficiently solidifying the permeated hydrophobic material. The sufficiently solidified hydrophobic material forms a liquid-impervious barrier that separates the substrate into at least one discrete region.

There is provided a crosslinked siloxane composition. The crosslinked siloxane composition is a polymerization product of a mixture including from about 2 to about 12 alkoxysilane precursor materials. At least one of the alkoxysilane precursor materials is a hydrophobic alkoxysilane precursor material. In addition at least one of the alkoxysilane precursor materials is an aromatic alkoxysilane precursor material.

Organosiloxane network composition

Described is a fuser member having a substrate and a surface layer disposed on the substrate. The surface layer includes a non-woven polymer fiber matrix having dispersed throughout a siloxyfluorocarbon (SFC) networked polymer and a fluorinated polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane.

The present disclosure provides an ink jet print head face plate. The ink jet print head face plate includes a face plate; and a siloxyfluorocarbon networked polymer disposed on the face plate. The siloxyfluorocarbon networked polymer is a polymerization product of a mixture including from about 2 to about 12 alkoxysilane precursor materials, wherein at least one of the alkoxysilane precursor materials is a hydrophobic alkoxysilane precursor material; and at least one of the alkoxysilane precursor materials is an aromatic alkoxysilane precursor material. Fluorinated organosiloxane network composition

A method of making a sacrificial coating composition is disclosed. The method comprises emulsifying an oil with surfactant to form an oil-in-water emulsion; and combining ingredients comprising (i) at least one polymer, (ii) at least one hygroscopic material, (iii) the oil-in water emulsion and (iv) water to produce the sacrificial coating composition. There is described a transfer member or blanket for use in aqueous ink jet printer. The transfer member includes a non-woven polymer fiber matrix and a polymer dispersed throughout the non-woven polymer fiber matrix. The polymer fiber matrix has a first surface energy and the polymer has a second surface energy. The difference between the first surface energy and the second surface energy is from about 30 mJ/mto about 5 mJ/m.

Aqueous ink jet blanket

Provided is a method of patterning a substrate. The method includes depositing, in a first predetermined pattern, hydrophobic material on a first surface of a hydrophilic substrate. The method includes sufficiently solidifying the permeated hydrophobic material.
