A method and apparatus for controlling a continuous machining process includes a robot, a machining tool, a table, and a raw parts supply mounted inside a machining cell enclosure. The table has first and second vises for holding parts. The machining tool is operated to machine a raw part in one of the vises while the robot is operated to pick a machined part from the other vise and then place another raw part into the other vise. The table can be fixed or rotatable. The robot places the picked machined parts on an exit conveyor to remove the machined parts from the enclosure.

The invention relates to an actuator subassembly for a vehicle safety system having a pin release actuator unit and a cradle bracket for holding the actuator unit and attaching to an airbag module. Further the invention relates to an airbag module with said actuator subassembly and a method of mounting a releasable tether on an airbag module by means of said actuator subassembly.

Actuator subassembly

An airbag assembly () has an airbag (), a tubular inflator () and a rolled heat shield () wrapped about the inflator () and interposed between the inflator () and the airbag (). The rolled heat shield () completes at least one full wrap around and encircling a portion of the inflator () wherein the portion of the inflator wrapped by the heat shield () includes one or more gas outlets (). The heat shield () preferably is a fabric material.
