The invention provides an elongated lighting fixture with multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) arrayed in two groups that are angled to each other. The fixture includes an elongated housing having a pair of side walls with at least one fin to dissipate heat. Each side wall has a support member extending upward at angle from the side wall. A generally transparent cover is connected to the housing and extends between opposed ends of the housing. A first group of LEDs and a second group of LEDs are mounted to the first support member and the second support member, respectively. First and second interconnection board assemblies are affixed to respective support members beneath the group of LEDs. When the first and second interconnection board assemblies are energized by an internal power source, current travels from each interconnection assembly through fasteners to each group of LEDs for illumination.

Elongated LED lighting fixture

An LED light fixture is provided and includes a light engine assembly having a plurality of LED light modules mounted to a printed circuit board. The light engine assembly has a substantially circular periphery. A substantially cylindrical main body portion surrounds the light engine assembly and is sized to define a substantially annular gap between an inner surface of the main body portion and the periphery of the light engine. A plurality of radially extending and circumferentially arrayed fins are positioned rearward of the light engine assembly, and a thermal pad is coupled to and positioned between a rear surface of the light engine assembly and the plurality of fins for transferring heat away from the light engine assembly. The annular gap at least partially defines an air flow path in communication with spaces between the fins. An LED track lighting fixture including the LED light fixture also is provided.

Multiple use LED light fixture

The invention provides an elongated lighting fixture with multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs) arrayed in two groups that are angled to each other. The fixture provides an extremely broad light emitting angle and includes an elongated housing having a pair of side walls with at least one fin to dissipate heat. Each side wall has a support member extending upward at angle from the side wall, wherein the side walls terminate at a central wall. A generally transparent cover is connected to the housing and extends between opposed ends of the housing. A first elongated fastener and a second elongated fastener are utilized to mount a first group of LEDs and a second group of LEDs to the first support member and the second support member, respectively. First and second interconnection board assemblies are affixed to respective support members beneath the group of LEDs by the first and second fasteners. When the first and second interconnection board assemblies are energized by an internal power source, current travels from each interconnection assembly through the fasteners to each group of LEDs for illumination.

The invention provides a multi-use light fixture that includes a light engine, a rugged housing, and an external power supply removeably embedded within an optional external enclosure. The light fixture includes several novel heat management features designed to reduce the risk of failure and thereby increase the reliability of the light fixture. The light engine includes groups of light modules, each having a light emitting diode (LED) and a zener diode. The housing includes an internal gap defined between the a circuit board and the housing. The housing also includes an arrangement of external fins and vents that dissipate heat generated by the light engine. The lens cover includes a plurality of inlets to supply ambient air into the fixture. During operation, heat is generated by the light modules, namely the LEDs, and then is transferred along a first flow path through a main body portion of the housing and the fins for dissipation to ambient and a second air flow path whereby ambient air flows through the light engine to increase the performance and efficiency of the light engine.

The invention provides a light fixture that includes a light engine, a rugged housing, and an internal power module that is thermally isolated. The light fixture includes several novel heat management features designed to thermally isolate the power supply in order to reduce the risk of failure and thereby increase the reliability of the light fixture. The light engine includes groups of light modules, each having a light emitting diode (LED) and a zener diode. The power module resides within a rear receptacle of the housing and includes a power supply, a box, and a cover that enclose the power supply. The housing also includes an arrangement of external fins that dissipate heat generated by the light engine. During operation, heat is generated by the light modules, namely the LEDs, and then is transferred along a flow path through a main body portion of the housing and the fins for dissipation to ambient without negatively impacting the power supply.

LED light fixture with internal power supply

The present invention provides a lighting system for use within a display sign, wherein the lighting system comprises a first module having a multi-layer circuit board and an arrangement of components electrically connected to the circuit board. The component arrangement includes a driver control chip that provides regulated voltage to the light emitting diodes, at least one surface mounted resistor, and a pair of light emitting diodes wherein each diode is mounted to a longitudinal end portion of the circuit board. Thus, the driver control chip is positioned between the light emitting diodes. The component arrangement further includes a high-frequency capacitor that filters undesired electrical noise and a rectifying diode that converts electrical potential from alternating current to direct current. A second module is electrically connected to the first module by a pair of flexible conductor wires. The second module includes a multi-layer circuit board and an arrangement of components electrically connected to the circuit board. The component arrangement of the second module is similar to that of the first module, wherein a light emitting diode is mounted to each longitudinal end portion of the circuit board.

Illumination system for use with display signage

A module has a metallic mass with an upper surface having laterally spaced wiring channels and outwardly extending fins. A circuit board is mounted on the module and fabricated of an insulating bottom layer with trace patterns thereon. A plurality of electrical components, including at least one light emitting diode, are coupled to the trace patterns of the circuit board. A pair of continuous conductor wires couple the electrical components with each wire and extend through the wiring channels of the module. At least one pair of connectors extend through the circuit board with upper ends coupled with the trace patterns and lower ends extending downwardly to electrically couple with the wires.

Illumination system

A light emitting diode illumination system comprises a printed circuit board with score lines allowing a user to break the board into segments. The segments are a plurality of printed circuit boards provided with electrical elements. The electrical elements include light emitting diodes, a plurality of resistors and a zener diode. The zener diode has an associated capacitor and a plurality of associated rectifying diodes. The rectifying diodes convert AC to DC. Two pairs of electrical contacts are provided. Either pair is capable of coupling the electrical elements to a source of electrical potential to illuminate the light emitting diodes with minimum current while generating minimum heat.
